I could not find a board started for the Spring 2021 school year at Tidewater Community College. Just thought I'd open one up for any applicants on here.

Don’t feel bad. I have two C’s that are concerning me

When you guys are calculating your GPA, are you including all of your classes or only the nursing school prereqs and Coreqs?

I included only the nursing courses and coreqs

Hmm okay. That’s really good! I don’t have a good idea of my chances either, which is going to make this next month or two the longest of my life ? And I’m so upset that there seem to only be 30 spots now.

I know, me too. I’m keeping hope alive though. Looking at everyone’s stats, I think we all have a chance. I’ve looked at some previous semesters where they only accepted 30 and I seen many of them in that cohort get accepted with similar stats

That’s true. I just hate uncertainty. It’s frustrating because the prereqs are different for every program around here so I’d either have to wait (and can’t even retake the HESI for a year) or take more courses to get into another program

This is literally the longest wait ever! I am praying less people applied due to covid so that all of our chances are better! Plus we can have an amazing study group going LOL! ? We shall see I CAN'T wait until mid October to November! I pray they send out the letters October 15th!

I know. The stress is killing me. I really want to get into TCC’s program. I’m hoping I don’t have to consider alternate routes. I’m praying that we all get in. Somehow I’m hoping that this cohort was a bit smaller.

Yes it’d even be awesome to get together for the virtual classes (if possible), I know it sounds strange but I miss in-person classes... we could keep each other accountable

Exactly! So they have dropped seats down to 30 before? I wonder why!? And yes all the prerequisites are different...I have to take Chemistry after this semester before I could potentially apply anywhere else...

Stephanie! Same here I am going to take Chemistry in the Spring even if I get in or in the Summer! I want to apply to the bridge program for TCC-ODU BSN program and need Chemistry for that I am taking Statistics, Theater, and Sociology this semester with Micro to knock out everything for the bridge to ODU
