Tidewater Community College Spring 2021

Published

I could not find a board started for the Spring 2021 school year at Tidewater Community College. Just thought I'd open one up for any applicants on here.

Same here! The only corequisites I need for ODU is Chemistry and sociology but I have already talked to them and submitted my letter of intent. I thought about doing sociology this semester but I am already struggling with work, my school, and my kids' virtual school!

Same here! I have a Chemistry but didn’t include the lab component so I have to retake it in the Spring. I’m aiming for the concurrent program as well so I’m hoping to take the health sciences Chemistry this Spring or the Summer

Yes they have dropped to 30 before. I want to say it was for the 2018-2019 Spring and fall cohorts. They have their pre admission conversations listed in the forum for that cohort

Aww man that has got to be so frustrating! I'm really sorry!

Let me go look for that thread...

I really wish I didn't go back and read previous threads?  It really does depend on what the competition is between the applicants for that specific cohort....

Yes it really is. But just by looking at the HESI scores, the class averages are really close. I’m not sure about the prerequisites and coreqs they had though. I know I seen one student who was accepted into a cohort of 30 with a 80s range HESI and only four of the classes completed. Hopefully this cohort isn’t so tough LOL

I agree! I saw one cohort that a girl with a HESI of 95, GPA of 4.0, and all coreqs except Micro done didn't get in?

I saw that one too! Her story wasn’t completely true; she didn’t have the co reqs she needed. Pay attention to all her posts LOL. She got me too

When she first posted, she stated she had a 95 HESI but no co reqs done. That changed to a 95 with everything but micro

LOL OMG thank you for figuring that out!! I was skimming for highlights LOL

LOL yes I was stunned by that so I had to dig up my own research LOL

Does anyone know how the last cohort group (or maybe the Spring 2020 one) determined the HESI score cutoff? Everyone from the thread whose HESI score was past the cutoff ended up being accepted

Khaleesi24 it is the 45th percentile.  Candidates below that are not considered for that cohort....
