Tidewater Community College Nursing Fall 2019

Published

Anyone out there applying to the fall 2019 program? Today’s the first day to apply and I feel like I’m overly excited to submit my application lol. The only pre-req I haven’t taken is Bio 142 & the math placement test.

Well then yeah I will be re applying for spring

I'm applying for spring 2020 and took the HESI already. Scored a 95. I'm about to get ready to go to class, but this evening I'll post some tips I used.

Why do you have to wait?

what has anyone else gotten that is applying for spring 2020?

Hello everyone, I need everyone's help. It looks like most of you already finished your pre read and just preparing or already too the HESI exam. I wanted to go into the TCC Nursing Program but I'm still on the earlier stages. I have a few questions so I will really appreciate it if you can answer some of it. I have an Associates in Buss Admin from TCC with a 3.4 GPA AND associates in Science with 3.7 GPA. I thought I completed most of the pre reqs but was I mistaken.

Official High School Transcript /GED -I did not graduated HS in the US but I have my seaked transcript. Do I need to get that evaluated?
Official college transcripts - TCC
Nursing information session

BIO 141; ENG 111; PSY 230; SDV 101 took all of these except SDV 201 was completed in 2010.

Admissions Criteria and Credits for Completed College Coursework -do I need to completeall of these before I apply or I can take them when I get I'm the program.

Course Grade (A) Grade (B) Grade (C) Comments (year/school)
BIO 141 - B
BIO 142
BIO 150
ENG 111 -A
PSY 201 - B (took this in 2010)
PSY 230 - B
PHI 226
SDV 10 - A (took it in 2010)

Thank you all for the help.

Bio 142 and 150 are considered co-reqs meaning you can take them once in the program. However, having said that, you probably won't get in without taking them. You get extra points for having them completed. Last semester I applied having a bachelor's degree already plus an A in all pre-reqs and a 95 on the HESI. The only thing I had not done was those 2 classes. I did not get in.

Just to add to this I think BIO 150 is required in order to get into the program but not 142. I applied and got in with every class done except for 142. I’m taking it now during the summer and start the program this upcoming fall semester.

Orientation tomorrow!! Does anyone know if we should bring anything?

Registered for classes earlier today, anyone else?
