Tidewater Community College Nursing Fall 2019

Published

Anyone out there applying to the fall 2019 program? Today’s the first day to apply and I feel like I’m overly excited to submit my application lol. The only pre-req I haven’t taken is Bio 142 & the math placement test.

I’m applying! Just waiting for my high school transcript to come in. I’m hoping my bachelors degree helps because my GPA is only a 3.0.

I have A’s in BIO 141, 142 and Dev. Psych. Haven’t taken any other co-requisites. Got an 85 on the HESI, wish I scored in the 90’s!

I’m so glad I finally got a response! Lol. Im waiting for my previous college transcript to come in and I take my hesi on Tuesday! Im super nervous for that. I have A’s in everything except microbiology (B) & I’ll take BIO 142 this summer.

Good luck! You will do fine if you study! How long have you been prepping for, and with what? I was nervous at first also but I don't think it was hard, and you get to choose which subjects you want to do first!

Hello everyone,

I just recently submitted my application too for Tidewater community college nursing program fall 2019 start date. I have completed all my prerequisites classes and co-requisite classes with A's and score a 89.4 on the Hesi. I am super nervous and waiting is killing me.

Sc_1992 how was the hesi exam?

My hesi is scheduled for tomorrow and I’m super nervous. I’ve been studying since December using the hesi pocket prep app and the elsevier study book. That’s the last thing I’m waiting for so hopefully I do well on it

I’ve been using the pocket prep app on a daily basis and read through the book a few times. Would you say there was a lot of conversions on the math portion?

The math was pretty basic and questions were similar to that of the evolve study guide. Good luck on the test

Thanks! Did you just recently take yours?

You did more studying than I did @sc_1992! I think you'll do great - math is a piece of cake. Hardest section for me was chemistry, and it showed in my score. Just take your time and relax!

So I just finished my hesi and biology & chem were my worst subjects! I don’t think the pocket prep app and the book were good enough study tools for those two subjects. Ended up with a composite core of 89. I wanted so badly to be in the 90’s ?
