Anyone out there applying to the fall 2019 program? Today’s the first day to apply and I feel like I’m overly excited to submit my application lol. The only pre-req I haven’t taken is Bio 142 & the math placement test.

Quick question: did anyone’s hesi score change? When I finished my hesi exam at the testing center & printed off my results my composite score was 89 but now I’m looking at it on the elsevier website and it says 86.4??? On the elsevier website, the grammar & vocab areas aren’t listed/ factored into the score so what’s up? Is TCC gonna see the 86.4 even though I have a printed composite score of 89??

Congratulations on the hesi. I think you did pretty well. I was also shooting for the 90, but I ended up with the same score 89. Sigh... At this point all we can do is wait. I used the pocket prep and the elsevier book. I fell down in math and A&p because those are my strong areas and I did not review the study material before taking the test. I hope we all get through. No, my composure score did not change. Maybe you should contact evolve

I wanted to be in the 90s too, but 89 is very good! You and Koma both scored higher than my 85. The previous cut off scores have been 81 and below so I think we’re all in a good position.

My score did not change either, and all of the subjects were factored in. Contact Evolve or TCC!

I contacted elsevier and they were able to fix the issue. I almost had a heart attack when I first noticed the change! Lol. If the previous cut off was 81, I think we all definitely have a pretty good shot. As far as the hesi goes, math was surprisingly my best subject. Did you guys mail your applications or hand deliver?

Glad the issue was fixed! Math and Vocab were my highest and A&P was next.

I hand delivered mine since I already take classes at the Portsmouth Campus!

Hey everyone, I take the HESI next week and was hoping y’all might give me an insight on what is in the science part? I was told bio, chem, A&p and physics? I’ve taken the TEAS before and it was soooo hard but I’ve heard the HESI is easier but still not comforting. Also do y’all have any tips for the test? Thank you!

Hello Tayquick,

Physics is not a part of the Hesi test at TCC. The evolve study guide was most helpful to me. You get to choose what test you want to take first. Study hard and you'll do well. And yes the hesi is much easier than the Teas.

Ok thank that’s were I was confused. I have the evolve study guide but I took A&p over 2 years ago so I feel like I’m relearning everything lol!
