Tidewater Community College Nursing Fall 2019

Published

Anyone out there applying to the fall 2019 program? Today’s the first day to apply and I feel like I’m overly excited to submit my application lol. The only pre-req I haven’t taken is Bio 142 & the math placement test.

My mail came in today and I was accepted!

Do y'all mind sharing your courses and grades as well as HESI score? I didn't get in but had A's in all my pre-reqs and a 95 on the HESI. I haven't completed my co-reqs so am wondering if that's the issue. Will have those done this summer. Just trying to guage what else I need to do. Thanks

Wow, a 95 on the HESI is about as good as it gets! I’m sorry and very surprised to hear that you didn’t get in

I have a bachelors (3.0 GPA) that may have helped a little bit. A’s in BIO 141 & 142, A in PSY 230 and a C in ENG 111 (retaking now). HESI was an 85 but anatomy was my best section

Yes I have a bachelor's too...3.3GPA. Taking 142 now and micro this summer. A's in everything else. I'm a little confused to say the least.

I agree with jchilds, a 95 Hesi score is perfect! I am really sorry that you did not get in cwalker. Did you apply for other school?

I've completed all prerequisites and corequisite course with A's and my Hesi score is 89. I haven't received my letter as yet from TCC, but I got accepted into ODU bsn nursing program.

It must because I'm currently finishing my co-reqs and didn't have them finished when I applied. That's the only thing I can figure. I'll be applying again in August and will apply to ODU next year if need be. Was going to finish the BSN there anyway (my husband is a professor there).

Can I ask what coreqs you still have left? I’ve taken all the pre and coreqs minus A&P2 which I’m taking this summer. My gpa is 3.8 & 88 on the hesi.

I'm in A&P 2 currently and am taking micro this summer.

I got accepted to TCC as well.

Just got my letter in the mail, today...

I was accepted, as well! (-:

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! To those that weren't, don't let this bump in the road discourage you from persuing your dream-- keep pushing, and your day will surely come. ❤️

Well said, @SMB_98! Does anyone know if there is a Facebook group for our class?

Does anyone knows what is concept based curriculum?
