Tidewater Community College Fall 2018

Hello all fellow applicants for TCC's Fall Semester 2018!

I have been scouring the most recent TCC post, and the latest applicants have been offered their seats in the program, woohoo!!! As a result, I have decided to post a new thread for the next round of applications.

Just curious, will anyone be a resident of Virginia for only a short time before applying? I will be moving in December and I was wondering if my measly two month-long residency will hold up as well against someone who has been a resident of Virginia for over a year.

Happy application cycle! :) Hope to see some of you someday soon.

I'm very nervous, and excited, I applied for the Lpn to Rn that starts in August, we join in the middle of the program and only go for one year. I'm 47 and have been in nursing since I was 21 starting as a CNA and then got my LPN when I was 38. School was always a struggle for me. I'm praying I get in, I have been stalking the mail every day. LOL (To succeed we only need to try)

I applied to the TCC's RN program as well as the Paul D Camp's RN program in Franklin for the Fall 2018. I just got my acceptance email on Wednesday! Super excited and still waiting to see what TCC will say. They denied me last cycle because my Hesi was 77.43% and the minimum was 78%...I cried like a baby but I did not let it stop me. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations!!!!! I'm in the same boat with you about TCC!

I wanted Paul D Camp but I didn't have Chemistry; so my plan is if I don't get into TCC I will take Chemistry and apply at Paul D Camp for Jan/Feb LPN to RN program....U do what U gotta Do to succeed..

Congrats Way to go...

I looked up that CBL learning it actually looks like it would be a more cohesive way of learning, instead of memorizing everything separately, I feel everything will be ok, that's why people become such good friends in nursing school. Because you need each other....to get through it

Less than a week!!!
