Tweety that does sound like nice weather

NJ22 I don't think I've ever made carne asada

Dianah that sounds like an interesting book

Stars it sounds like you got a lot done.  A dehumidifier should help avoid any mold issues

Was a fairly good day at work yesterday, despite a brief meeting.  Have a brief meeting today too, and someone is out, so I hope it remains good

After work did the grocery shopping and relaxed the rest of the evening.  Looked over again the 2 dating profiles I created and they both still seem pretty good

Today will be a bit quieter, the counselor is sick so no counseling during lunch today.  Will exercise and probably just relax

Will be in the low 30s today.  Winter storm warning begins early tomorrow morning and continues until about noon on Sat, hopefully we don't get too much snow and wind

It is 66 degrees and sunny today, really a beautiful day. Hard to imagine that by Sunday we will have a high of 14. I threw away my Winter coat not long ago because (a) it was really old and (b) the seam on the sleeve was completely torn out. Figured I'd replace it but wasn't in a hurry. But yesterday decided I'd better address the situation and ordered one online. Paid for express delivery. Ugh.

Feeling overwhelmed both at work and at home with all the tasks that need to be completed. But at least it feels good when I do get something done.

I haven't made carne asada. But enjoy eating it!

Rumor has it that the shelves at the grocery stores are picked over. Hubs and I made a trip the other night so we should be OK without having to dash out right now. And the coldest days will be Sunday and Monday, then back to normal January weather as far as I've seen. We have the generator if the winds knock out power.

I did get on here on the list of days/dates just now, but I don't know if it will STAY here if I go elsewhere and try to come back. (Let us pray!)

Nannie will be brought back from SiL's in a short while; they took her over there so I could go out and take care of errands. Momo wasn't happy with me when I came back and then had to keep going out to unload the groceries: she yelled at me, with lots of yapping and squeaking.

I had Chinese take-out for my supper. Doubt I'll get too much laundry done tonight; I can fold what's in the dryer, and put the washed stuff into the dryer. But there will be some waiting for me tomorrow!

And we are supposed to be getting another heavy rain starting mid-afternoon tomorrow. Hoping I don't have to go on Leak Duty again! I will put just a few folded towels in that corner ( just-in-case). I will check to see that the dehumidifier container is emptied before I go to bed.

Meanwhile I will submit this post, and HOPE I can get back here later on!

The carne asada came out pretty good, if I do say so myself. It was quite simple: thinly sliced skirt steak marinated with olive oil and spices, and peppers and onions marinated in spices. Stir fry the meat, stir fry the veggies, combine. Eat with tortillas, sour cream, cilantro and a squeeze of lime.

The wind has been blowing hard all day, temp down to 22 (feels like 8), predicted low 13 (feels like too darn cold!). The weather guy in Idaho used to issue an alloy monkey alert : too cold for brass monkeys, if you get my drift. Laundry and bathrooms done, and watched an episode of Call the Midwife. Do any of you wise nurses know why then get out a basin and wire whip to prepare an enema? I remember having to add castile soap to an enema, but we just mixed it in with our hand. Molasses, perhaps?

Annie, I hope you got a good price for your coat, seeing how it's past Christmas. It does feel good to accomplish a task when you feel overwhelmed with many.

Joe, relaxing is what I've been doing this afternoon, and it feels good!

Chinese sounds good, but dh doesn't like take-out. I thawed out pork chops for dinner tonight.

I have to go to my account and then to "Manage" something-or-other, and from there the screen goes to the list of days on the Breakroom.  So, at least I can get back here in a round-about way.

Perhaps just use the wire whisk to better combine the water and oil and/or molasses, before administering?

carn.jpeg.3f839440bb35bbb12ac40fa88e3b384d.jpegI had some carne asada seasoning blend I used on tofu and bean dishes.

Bleh day at work.  Loss of discharges and admissions.   The ERs in town are stressed with respiratory ailments on top of it being our "season".  Traffic is horrible everywhere.

We had pork chops, too. I decided to use the grill since it was so nice out and soon it won't be.

Tweety, we've had a higher census and more respiratory ailments. The other day there was a kid with RSV that we had to send pretty far away (like Dallas) because no beds were available anywhere closer. Made me think of those months when Covid was so bad and we couldn't transfer patients.
