I would like to know too, I heard they really needed people but so far nothing.
I contacted one of the main people back in October. He told me just to continue checking the website because they don't have an exact date. But I heard through the grapevine that the Ebola situation really took a toll on the whole THR organization, plus they just paid that settlement with the victim's family so I heard money is very low right now. I hope they still have the residency this time around.

THR operates a couple of dozen facilities. Though THD is probably going to have a bad year, they have a long way to fall financially. I know they will "po-mouth" the nurses & other cost centers.
I'm including a link to a blog that runs down some of their numbers. The title is about when THR hired a PR firm, but it has some very revealing financials.

My classmate recently accepted a job at THR in Denton.
Did your friend work for THR already internally?

What does that imply?

"Po-mouth" is a term where someone tries to make you believe they are worse off than they are trying to justify stinginess or get you to cut them a break, my Southern Georgia daddy uses it.
I believe THR is going to try all kinds of cuts with the justification that they lost so much money on this ebola affair. And I know they are hurting, but that goes back to poor upper management decisions, and what it means is those high end head honchos need to skip their massive bonuses this year.
But instead, I think we will see them leaving positions unfilled & understaffing instead. The usual, until something untoward happens (increased DVTs or CLABSIs), then they'll realize (again) that cutting nursing budgets just shoots themselves in the foot.
Nurses bear the brunt of such cuts because hospitals still only see us as expenses (cost centers). Until some of the more recent data showing how nursing staff (mix & ratios) directly affects outcomes, many management types saw no reason to staff appropriately.
Have yall heard anything yet? My friend said she called and they told her there isn't one this time.
I haven't heard that one yet.. but if it's true that def. sucks.
THR has started to post GN positions if anyone is interested!

Residencies are up but the pickings are really slim
they only offered jobs to current employees first so there isn't much locally. I'm bummed.
