I tested yesterday, I didn't do any studying the day before. However, I made sure I had worked all of Kaplan before Tuesday. I think its a little break from NCLEX questions, if you was like me that means you've been reading questions/rationals from daylight to dark. I took the day before off and went out to movie and ate with friends and I bought some OTC sleep aid medicine. I came home went to bed at 10pm. I arrived at the testing center an hour earlier than my appointment. The nerves kicked in I told myself that if I didn't know it by now, I wasn't going to know it and I set down at the computer if I didn't know it I looked at the answer choices to see what the question was asking and used my nursing judgement. I think my school helped prepare me a lot, we started with 68 and only 11 graduated so to say the least it was a very extensive and intense program. I found out today that I am a officially a RN!
The Pearson testing sites close to my house were all booked up, so I actually spent most of the day before my test driving to a testing site (fun fact: you can take the NCLEX at any approved testing site for whatever state BON you select, meaning you can test out-of-state for an in-state license). I definitely think ignoring everything NCLEX related for 24 hours before the test helped me unwind and let the new information I had learned crystallize in my brain.
If you're a really good crammer though, it might benefit you to study until the last second.
I looked over NOTHING the day before. I finished Kaplan two days before and told myself that it was now or never. The day before I just went to church, relaxed with my kiddos and husband, and then my husband and I headed to a hotel because I was testing at 8:00 a.m. the next morning and my testing site was over an hour away. We lounged and went to dinner and just relaxed. I woke up the next morning refreshed and ready to take the test. I took it 06/10/13 and less than 30 minutes after completing it I already had a license # on the state BON site. Just try to allow yourself to relax and build the confidence that you are ready for this. Good luck!

For those who have already taken NCLEX, what are your thoughts on not studying the day before the test. I know what the experts say blah blah, I want opinions of people like me! If you DID study the day before, do you think it was helpful or wish that you would have relaxed? Thanks!
