  1. I don't think anyrhing totally prepares you. I just tried to keep cool and do every question as if it was my first. I used what Aunt Marlene said. If the test is still going you are still in the game!
  2. Trick worked for me. I was certain I failed I did all 265 questions but got the good pop up found out last Thursday I passed. I am already registered on the CO board of nursing.
  3. I also did 265 questions on the RN exam. Thought for sure i'd failed. Some of the qus were insanely difficult. I got the good pop up and found out today I passed. :) I'm in Colorado.
  4. So it was worth all the blood sweat and tears over those 265 questions. I am now an RN in the United States as well as the UK. And flipping my ex husband who said I couldn't do it the bird. I had faith and I had God and the determination. My two year break from the job I loved has now come to an end! Roll on many more years of nursing! Ps. The PVT worked for me!
  5. I won't be happy til I see "pass" in writing!!
  6. I also went to a college of 60 something people. Only 9 of us completed the course with honors. I went to college in Scotland UK and graduated in 2007. I just took my nclex to work in the US and am waiting for my results in ummmm about 55 mins.. No that I'm counting!
  7. I did a practice test the day before my test and nothing else. I relaxed the morning of too and headed out for some lunch before going to the test center.
  8. Just wait til she's suctioning trachs and putting NG tubes to drain obstructed patients. Projectile vomiting from esophageal varices and melena. That should be fun. I'm a Registered nurse from the UK. I heard we are more "hands on" there but I haven't started working here yet to be able to compare. I will be really upset if I don't get as much 1 on 1 and personal care time with my patients. I like to know all about them. At he end of the day. I'm the one held accountable.
  9. I also got a BILLION SATA. But then again I did all 265Q. I got every type of question you can imagine!
  10. Thanks so much I will do. I'll keep ya'll posted. I have the good pop up so far. I know everyone is frantic about results but I am a foreign nurse with 5 years experience. I haven't worked in the "love of my life" career in over 2 years. I am out of time to take the test again and will have to reapply with all the steps foreign nurses need to take (CGFNS etc etc) Hoping I pass this one and only time! It was the hardest test of my life! 265Q TOUGH!!
  11. I get my results today I started at around 1pm. Will it be 1pm today or the time I finished?
  12. I used Hurst to study. It's completely different. We don't have "board" exams. We take finals at university and I personally did a 15,000 word portfolio of practice and videoed presentation to get my BsC Hons in Adult Nursing. Also everything from all 4 years of University is counted towards getting your nursing License. Plus your university professors etc have to write you a letter of recommendation to the Nursing and Midwifery Council then they issue you a pin number.
  13. Still getting the good pop up today. I will find out for sure tomorrow. My name is already on the BON of Colorado but it always was because I hold a license in the UK. The status however is "pending" I'm getting obsessed with checking it. Haha. Congrats to you for getting through the 265 questions!!! I know that was not easy!!!
