To all of those who got accepted a BIG Congratulations to all of you!
For those who did not, keep plugging away, your day too shall come...eye on the prize...eye on the prize.
I started this new thread in the hopes of those of us attending the July 2010 session for Banner at Gateway could communicate and get to know each other a little better perhaps before we start July 6th.
Perhaps look at where we all live and discuss possible car pools, study groups etc in advance. Any thoughts?
I myself live in Surprise, so anyone out my way please feel free to drop a line.
Also thought we could possibly discuss what we could do to start preparing and what to obtain prior to starting (IE: Digital Recorders, Laptops, PDA's, software for both, etc etc...).
Look forward to hearing from all of you.
Monday at 12:30 works for me I am bringing my baby that way when my hubby has to take our older 2 to swim he won't have to worry about the baby. I talked to my friend who just graduated in March from the program and I have NO idea where in the world I got the impression that they paid for your uniforms from, see this is what happens when you assume.
Wannabe: I'm certain that none of us are taking this program lightly. We all know or at least have an idea of what types of sacrifices time, family, or work wise that we will be making for this program. I understand the demands that this program will put on me to study as well as not being able to be there 100% of the time for my kids. That being said I'm still nervous about that! My committment is no less strong than anyone elses to this program b/c of that nervousness. I am confident that once we actually start the program I will figure out my new routine and how I will fit in studying, the kids, the housework, and working all into the day.
I'm so ready to get our information packet so I can feel somewhat prepared!! I can't wait to meet you all and put faces and real names with the screen names. See you guys on Monday!

Hey...please don't think or take my post as saying you or anyone wasn't or isn't committed to this program. Didn't mean it that way at all.
We will all have adjustments to make I'm sure. I was just generalizing
Gosh Im getting so impatient waiting for our admin. packets!!! Haha I was on GateWays website looking to see if I could figure out what our schedule might be, and who our teachers might be. I looked on ratemyprofessors.com and most of the stuff on there is pretty positive..so thats a good thing! haha What I cant figure out is what our classes might be..if its only 530 to 930 tu. thurs. that only leaves one class..hmmm I guess we shall wait and see..
I'm not going to be able to make it tommarow! I'm really bummed I had somthing come up last minute. Sorry guys! Please let me know if you guys come up with any thing insightful I feel so out of the loop on everything since I don't know what to expect going into this. So sorry I can't make it have fun and hope to hear from you guys soon. Felicia
Hey there, I too, will be starting the part time program with you guys. All I know is that orientation is July 6th (time???) and that we start classes the week of July 12th. I emailed Carrie today asking the days that we have class and when we should get our application packets. I am SOO nervous, but ready! Also, did you all hear that this is the last Banner Nurse Fellows Program they are doing? Pretty crazy!
