I started this new thread in the hopes of those of us attending the July 2010 session for Banner at Gateway could communicate and get to know each other a little better perhaps before we start July 6th.
Perhaps look at where we all live and discuss possible car pools, study groups etc in advance. Any thoughts?
I myself live in Surprise, so anyone out my way please feel free to drop a line.
Also thought we could possibly discuss what we could do to start preparing and what to obtain prior to starting (IE: Digital Recorders, Laptops, PDA's, software for both, etc etc...).
Yes, I hope our packets come ASAP :). I saw one of you lives in QC and another in Chandler. I am in Gilbert, so close to you two! Anyone else on the east side? It'd be nice to meet up with some of the east side folks over off Gilbert/Germann sometime before class starts!
Hey az_melanie and { ashley } congrats to you guys as well! I would love to meet up with you guys again before we start or before orientation. Gilbert and Germann area or the San Tan mall area is close for me so if cscanlon wants to meet us there sounds good hopefully we will be able to have both an east and west side study groups! My in-laws are in town til next friday so I'm pretty open as to when I can meet up what days work for you guys?
Hey guys! I can meet tomorrow at 12 if you guys are also available..so just a heads up to everyone. If youre not already enrolled at Gateway I believe you have to do so (thats what my letter of intent said). I did, but since I was enrolling there I was being charged out of state tuition (weird..even though ive gone to Rio Salado and MCC) so I had to go down to Gateway and show them my drivers license. Just a heads up for everyone else that has to enroll there too..I know Banner said they wouldnt pay out of state tuition haha so just making sure everyone knows!
I hope I'm doing this right..just found this site. But I also got accepted to the Banner July cohort! Congratulations to everyone else! I live in Chandler but work a couple miles from Gateway CC. I'm so excited for this.
Hi cscanlon. Not sure if anyone has answered you yet but they geared this cohort for the working professional...so during our whole program it will be Tues/Thurs nights and Saturdays. :) Oh and I also live in Chandler..I live on Ocotillo/McQueen
Im assuming that we will find out what time orientation is at when we get our admissions packets..I too was like hmm July 6th..at what time?! haha. I don't have kids, but it looks like jennaz has a daughter! From what I gather, quite a few people have gone through the program with children..so Im sure you're not alone :)
Hey all...sorry I'm late in replying but orientation and all class times will start at 5:30pm to 9:30pm
So did you guys have a good meeting on Monday anything I should be brought up to speed on? Or I guess we can talk when we chose another meeting time. Just thought I would ask :-)
Tomorrow at kona grill at santan sounds good to me! At about 12ish? Is that ok for everyone? Matix, we mainly just talked and got to know one another I think..nothing too crazy :)
