Hi.

I have been accepted into the TJU FACT program that begins in May but the orientation isn't until a week before classes begin and I would like to get a better idea of the scheduling. I know it's 5 days a week but does anyone have some more specific info? i have to arrange for child care and transportation and a general idea of the class/clinical hours would be helpful.

also...anyone else out there starting the program with me in May?

I also called Niki Kelly on Wednesday, when she called back it went to voicemail but she said they received 150 applicants for the first reviews and they still have till the 21st. I probably didn't help my case very much either! Although I do feel ( maybe im just pessimistic) that they would of called to schedule an interview by now if they were planning on interviewing you. Maybe not thought- keeping my fingers crossed!!!

Holey moley, 150 applicants for the first review? My goodness, that's a lot. I am glad I got my application in in August... I'm wondering if there will even BE a second review period.

I don't think that's the case...when I talked to Niki she said she was actually in the process of reviewing my file, so I don't think she's even gone through all 150 applicants yet

Hi everyone! I'm kinda coming in late on this thread, but I just got my acceptance today for Pre-Fall 2009 too!

I wouldn't be worried if you havent gotten an email about an interview yet, as I got my application in very early (around Sept 5th) and I just had my interview today and found out today as well. Nikki was telling me she is the only one who interviews and makes the decision about the program, so its alot of work for just one person.

Also, about the GRE or MAT...definitely take the MAT, its much easier. I took mine the week of my finals over the summer so I seriously only studied for maybe 1 or 2 days, and I did just fine on it. Nikki doesnt so much focus on the score, just that you have at least taken it.

I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do next...I guess I'll wait until I get the actual offer letter in the mail. :)

Hi everybody!

I was kind of off this discussion for a while, because I changed my e-mail address and started a new job.

I wanted to say that I got my acceptance e-mail letter for pre-fall 2009 too. So, now I am waiting for actual mail letter.

Congratulations to everybody who was accepted and to those who are still waiting. Just be patient, guys, and everything will be fine!!!!!:):):)

Hey Everyone!

Congratulations to those accepted!!

My application was mailed on 9/15 (last minute I know) and complete on 9/17. Niki Kelly emailed me to set up a interview today! When I called her message said she would be out of office till the 17th so I figure I will call back then. I will probably be posting again soon with lots of questions about the interview process!! But for those waiting, she is still reviewing applications!!

Cool! Don't sweat the interview; Niki is very nice and very easy to talk to. :)

I got my offer letter today. I knew I was "in" because of the email, but I still feel better with the physical letter in hand. Yeah!

What are you going to start from?

I guess, we can do only physical right now and mail deposit to them, but we can not do child abuse and criminal background check till the beginning of the next year.....?:yeah:

Yeah, not everything can be done just yet. I already did my child abuse clearance last year, but I think I'm going to have to do it again. :( I did my physical, too. I have to find out if it's OK to use that information or if I have to have a more recent physical.

They give you about a month to get the $200 deposit to them.

Hope you get that letter soon!

I got my Welcome letter from Jefferson today!

I loged in to their web site. Our orientation day is going to be on the 22d of May. Yeah, I did my child abuse and police background a couple of weeks ago, but they require it to be done in 2009 and by their service.

I don't know about physical, maybe, it is good for a year. I just did my TB test for a new job, it is good for a year. Also, they require lab tests for surface antibodies for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Hepatitis B.

It is good that we still have plenty of time!:yeah:
