thomas jefferson bsn program, drexel, or villnova??!?

Hey everyone! I am new to this site, however I have been looking through posts for a couple months now. I am currently finishing my second year at community college. I applied to TJU, Drexel, and Villanova for Fall of 2015. I would start at TJU as a junior and at Nova and Drexel I would be transferring in as a sophmore( I have all of the academic classes completed, but these two schools start clinicals sophmore year). I have been accepted to TJU and Drexel for fall 2015 and I should be hearing from Villanova this week. I am so torn between which school I should go to. Has anyone else applied to any of these programs? Also if anyone is currently in any of these programs or has completed one of these programs it would be helpful to hear how you like it. I love the co-op part of Drexels program, however it is VERY pricey and I have heard some negative things about the program. I have also heard that getting the required 950 on the hesi has been difficult for many students, which scares me. I have always loved TJU's program but they do not offer a co-op or guarantee an internship. It would be great to chat with some people that are in a similar situation or have applied to one of these programs. I need to give Jefferson a deposit within 2 weeks and I am having such a hard time deciding.

I'm happy to say that I finally got invited for a phone interview next Thursday!! Can anyone tell me what kind of questions they asked during the interview if they remember?? I would appreciate it!!

I GOT IN!!!!!! :D:D:D:D

I started a new thread for those who got accepted into the program here!!

Congrats classmates and thank you so much for posting your experiences, they helped me tremendously along the application process!!

I submitted my application for fall but did not submit the supplemental app (how do you do that?) but I received an email to interview oddly now I'm just waiting to hear back for which dates to interview...

In the same email of the invite, there's a link where you go to make the appoiment.

Also, strangely I checked the email again and there isn't a link, she basically just asked for my available time/dates without talking about the supplemental app, did you guys apply through nursingcas ?

I didn't have to do a supplamental application. No, after the application is sent to Jefferson we don't use NursingCAS, I used a link on the invite email where it took me to eventbrite They said that they waive it when I asked them during the interview. I suggest talking to Evelyn, is she your admission counselor? She was mine and she is amazing!! She answered all of my questions promptly.

Hm no her name doesn't ring a bell, well I will probably hear back tmr about the interview, thanks for answering my questions! :)

Alright, good luck and no problem. We have all been there and the waiting is horrible.

Well, since Jefferson extended their application deadline, it seems like they are having trouble getting applications in a timely manner. My theory is that the new version of NursingCas is causing delays in the application process, so Jefferson has decided to waive the supplemental application to expedite the process. It took me two months to get a decision whereas last year it would've taken half the time with the old version of NursingCas. You guys are lucky if you get the supplemental application waived. You save more money.

Good luck to you!!

Well I got in! But it is the APW and not the pre-licensure, it is different right?

Congrats!!yes and no, you'll be in the same classes as pre-licensure, except for a few. For example, computers in nursing. Other than those you'll be in the same class. Also, you will have a few credits that count for a masters. Also we have a facebook group of you are interested.
