I am currently an LPN that works a full time night shift job (7p-7a). I graduated from an LPN-RN transition program a few weeks ago and am scheduled to take my boards in 4 hours. While I was able to get off for the past couple of days and woke up fairly early yesterday to try and get some sleep last night, I DIDN'T SLEEP A WINK!! The hubby and I drove here yesterday (closest testing center is 2 hours away) and stayed at a nice hotel to try and make the whole process less stressfull. I laid in bed tossing and turning from 2230 until now when I finally decided that sleep wasn't going to happen for me.

Everyone send out positive thoughts and energy for me this morning!!!!!!!!!! :heartbeat

You will do fine! Just take it easy and breathe.

Remember to take your time! Read the questions thoroughly. You will do fine. :D

Thanks for the well wishes...3 more hours till test time :(

Aw, you poor thing. I can imagine. I am a recent graduate, haven't scheduled mine yet. I hope I will be able to be somewhat calm when the time comes. Good luck, I know you'll be glad when it's over!

that means you are hardly enjoying your night duties,i hope the workload will not be so much, but you may be missing many goodthings which yiu want to do these days, so what i suggest you just enjoy your duties ,try to relax yourself on duty and talk to collegues or patient, or simply be emphatetic, dont feel burden, calm relax and be happy so that people around you can also be happy

I love my nighttime job!! I just don't love how my sleep schedule is when I have to take boards this morning and I'm thinking I should have a) scheduled the test later or b) tried to stay up longer yesterday!!!

I'll be praying for you! I know I will be in your shoes in a few years:specs:

Don't freak out whatever you do! I know you're probably going tachycardic every second closer you get so just calm down. don't do last minute cramming because you should know it already and you will only get confused.

You already know what it takes since you're an LPN and bridging over. I know you will do well! :redpinkhe

ok so you are taking up nclex course, remeber to gain something you have loose something, why dont you make your time schedule, see this is just matter of habit, if you get adjusted to work ,sleep and house then everything will be all right, just plan your sleep for less time then rest for study and home.

ok all the best for your test,

Best of luck! You'll do wonderfully! Stay positive!
