I am taking NRSE 4550 Spring 2 2013. Who else is in this class?

Damn yall I really don't think I'm going to pass this class. How do I go from making good grades to terrible grades. I am praying that I can get through this but it is not looking good.

I just got an announcement that there was an error on one of the quiz questions regarding refereed journals- so everyone will get an additional point
I got that announcement too. Also-my grade for the class is 108%-how can that be right?

I think its easier this week to read the research article before you read the chapters in the book. Makes understanding the article easier.

How are you determining strengths/weaknesses without being swayed by the critique given following the article? Or, do you think if we use the same stuff, oh well? Wish they would have given us an article that wasn't already critiqued.

This seems pretty tricky for a DB post.

I didn't read the critique, I just printed the article from the link that was given, and came up with my own opinions. It probably means that I got it ALL wrong. Oh Well!

No--I think yours will be much better doing it that way. I'm trying to be original. Unfortunately, I'd already read the critique and some of it has stuck in my head. I'm just writing some stuff now and trying not to overthink things.

I'm sure you didn't get it ALL wrong. :)

You are smart. I wish I did that. But be aware that if you happen to have some of the ideas that are the same with the critique in the textbook, the TA would not know you did your work this way and came up with the ideas yourself. For example, I realize one of the limitations is data saturation when reading the report, but I quit using it in my DB because it is mentioned in the critique and I don't want to put myself at risk for "copying" the book or "plagiarism".

I really feel they should let us do the critique about a different article. Too many problems with this course!

It is silly that we are critiquing a previously critiqued article. That makes no sense what so ever

We should reference this article right? Well it's in the book?

I'm right there with you, this is so overwhelming to me. I'm having a hard time getting it all organized so I can pull it together
