Working as a nurse is light-years away from nursing school. I did not enjoy nursing school and have had a 25+ year career that has been much more fulfilling than school would have led me to believe. You've put a lot of time, effort and money to get where you are now. Tough it out and finish; THEN you can find an area of nursing that you can enjoy.

I am done. :) All I have left is a music test to take next week and my work is done. I can't believe it! Thanks everyone for all your help and encouragement.

It can't always be your best work--sometimes finished is good enough!!

It's so exciting to be so close to finished! Yeah for you and Yeah for me! I can't believe I'll be done in a couple of weeks. It was really hard going back to school after being out for 20 years. We should be very proud of ourselves. :)

Anyone else see the irony of a discussion board post about end of life issues when most of us are getting together with our families this week? I think I've been a nurse too long. Good news--this is week four!!! :) Happy thanksgiving everyone!

I have been working on next weeks assignment because I have family coming and want to have some free time from school. It is more of the same. I just wish the assignments could actually be completed in the 5-6 paragraphs they state in the directions. It's a little crazy. If it's a paper--call it a paper; it's not a discussion board post.

Can I just whine for one minute and say how tired I am of dissecting this one family??!! Really--I've had enough!! I'm beginning to repeat myself once in a while, in a while, in a while.

When I had evidence-based last Spring semester there were a couple weeks when there weren't papers due, but quizzes instead. I personally like that better because you put some time into studying, take the quiz, and it's done. I liked that class about the best I have 'liked' any class in this program. When I had community it was more writing than some others, not so much as some. I found it interesting, though because it was something different than my work (hospital). I think I personally spent less time doing evidence work than on doing community--but I've heard the windshield survey is no longer being done so that would change the workload up a bit.

I know-- I have done that many times in the past (sat on stuff until later in the week). This week I work at the end of the week and needed to be done with school by noon today (or shortly after). I had instructions 'clarified' in one of my earlier classes like this so I learned this lesson the hard way. However--I don't think Friday at noon is that early in the week. It's just so frustrating And it's unnecessary. Thanks for listening! I'm done with my rant. I keep telling myself--I'm almost done. This is it. Almost there.

Friday at noon and the instructions for THIS WEEK'S discussion board were just clarified. I am so angry. Just another reason I can't wait to be done.

4520 was horrid!!

Do we reference the case study material? As I think of it. I'm guessing yes, since its used in the assignment. What do you all think?

My TA sent an announcement that included the rubric. I'll bet our family assignment won't be visible until next week.
