Hi all,

Thinking of starting at the Breckinridge School of nursing @ ITT Tech Lake Mary, Fl.

Any current students with any info on the program? Insight on classes, instructors, clinicals etc would be helpful.

I went to orentation today, and I loved the whole set up so far. In my state (Florida) There is no issues with this program via Florida Board of Nursing. I will be able to sit for my NCLEX just like any other nursing student. As far as the cost I was one of the lucky ones that received a few scholarships . I will say that after I graduate I will 6,000 in loans to pay back Thank God. Say what you want end of the day I can sit for NCLEX, I know what school I will get my BSN from. I know that I have a position waiting on me.

Just dropping in and thought I would let anyone in the South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale) area know that, I am happy so far. I'm 4 weeks into the semester and I am doing great. Compared to the previous ADN program I was in. We use most of the same books my former community college uses. The instructors actually have time for you, and I leave the school feeling like I have learned something, and I can confidently ask for help. All smiles here.:);)

I graduated from Breckinridge passed HESI and NCLEX. I had a good experience.

Fearless_leader and I go to the same school and have some classes together. So far so good. Glad I made the decision and didn't let all the negative talk influence me in any way but then again I take everything I hear with a grain of salt.

Thank-you for this post! I start in March & I am excited!

I work @ Halifax Hospital, Is that the hospital you did clinical's?

[email protected] please email me re your experiences I am in Oklahoma and am considering the school in Tulsa.

I am graduating from Breckinridge school of nursing, Youngstown, Ohio campus March 28, 2015. I paid less for tuition because I had classes from Penn State University transfer. The tuition also covers all of the books needed for the classes. I also want you to know that my clincals were held in well known hospitals like Akron Children's, and many other great hospitals. The program is not perfect, but it is accredited, and they do have to follow rules set by the Ohio Board of Nursing. I have been at the top of my class the entire 27 months. I passed my exit Hesi on the first try with a much higher score than required. (I was the only one in the class that passed the first time) I have taken practice NCLEX exams and have passed with no problem. I have 2 interviews (before graduation) at well know hospitals. One in Pennsylvania, and the other in Ohio. My original class started out with 36, and 5 out of the original are graduating, and 2 failed critical care. (most dropped because they realized that nursing school actually takes dedication and hard work, others failed, and some had personal issues) ..the other 2 that are in our class have yet to pass the exit Hesi...don't blame a school because some people can't pass an exam. The students who work hard, and earn it...graduate. Yes, it is expensive, but I have a degree from Penn State that costs just around the same price and did not include books for each semester. Do your research before you spend the money for an education.

Congrats for finishing the program and passing the exit HESI! Good luck on the NCLEX!! I'm currently a student and in my second quarter.

I recently graduated from itt in December 2014 passed exit hesi and nclex on my first try :-)

As far as I know, Winter 2014 they are in candidacy for ACEN accredidation.

Well just for the record I have several friends who have all completed the Breckenridge program and are now enrolled in Universities and online programs for BSN. I also have 2 friends who are enrolled in MSN programs. So while everyone who thinks they can speak on behalf of every nursing school...................try to get ALL facts on every single student that attended that institution, then make an informed judgement.
