You get 12 possible points for the TEAS test, 16 possible for pre-requisites, 6 possible for co-requesites, and 4 points for completing certain other courses. (38 total)
I should have 23 points at the end of the semester befor I take the TEAS test.....
I think Im just stressing because I do not know how many points will be concidered competative to get in.
Many schools change their criteria. If the demand for nursing students is high (for the specific college), they will reduce the criteria in order to fill enrollment. Once the supply is higher than the demand, they will increase the weed out process. When I went to NS, I only needed micro and pharm to graduate. Now, some NS need those fdone to just enroll. They might be doing it to for more structure or the suits wanted an actual way to measure the acceptance criteria of applicants, or they want to stay competitive....who knows. Just stick with it as much as you can. I would say to try and get in asap so you won't have to deal with another change. I wouldn't take it personally. The amount of students applying to nursing programs is pretty high these days. They probably see hundreds of students who want to get into the program and they can't concentrate on every single person who is interested. They probably tell students the same thing b/c they won't see 90% of them down the road.

Come to find out that the nursing program that I want to apply to changed thier selection criteria. (They go by point system)
I have been working for almost 4 years on my pre-requesites and now I am very nervous because I am planning on applying at the end of this semester. I talked to the nursing director yestrday and she said that it looked to her like Im doing good, but I have to wonder if thats what she tells everyone or if that was genuine. I knew how many points were concidered competative before but now everyone is clueless.....
I guess my question is am I overreacting and do you think she was being genuine about my standings or not?
