The wait is on......

This is my first time posting on this website, so hello everyone.

I took the NCLEX today (actually yesterday 08/07) and the machine shut off at 75 questions. I had 4-5 SATA, one EKG strip to interpret, three calculations, tons of priority and at least 20 meds...most of which I've never heard of before.

I can say with certainty that I have absolutely no idea if I passed or not. There is just no way in the world to gage how you did. I initally thought, Whoohoo! that's good that it shut off at 75 and then..............a feeling of dread crept in and hasn't left.

I can get quick results on Saturday morning, but seriously, nursing school (as emotional with the highs and lows were there) doesn't compare with the feeling you have after taking this test.

I know I have what it takes to be a well rounded, safe nurse...certainly people don't "squeak" by the RN programs with bad grades and/or the feeling that nursing may not be what they were meant to do. How could anyone go through what we have to for that long and not have their heart and soul in it enough to succeed? That being said, I have had the most nauseous feeling since the moment I walked out of the testing center.

I took a review course locally and used the Kaplan and Mosby books for questions after that and I felt as prepared as you can..........

Thanks for letting me vent a bit, I'm going to try desperately to fall asleep so I can take a break from worry...

Best luck to all waiting!
