Hi!! I started this forum for those applying to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) for the Fall 2025 Traditional BSN program. I couldn't find any previous forums for the 2025 start term, so hopefully we can all connect here.
@jazminereyyy0 yeah I had to make an appointment to get finger printed too.
Is anyone having trouble with SentryMD? I tried to log in but it says my account isn't created which I thought was weird because everything else is saying it should've automatically been created after getting my credentials.. am I doing something wrong?

I received this message yesterday. I'm assuming you probably all received it. Looks like acceptance emails will be sent out the week of April 21-25
Dear Applicant,I am reaching out to update you on the status of your application for our Fall 2025 Traditional BSN program. As you might know, our office has been short-staffed, which has led to some delays in our application review process. I want to inform you that we are presently reviewing applications, and we expect to send out decisions via email during the week of April 21-25. All decisions—whether accepted, placed on the waitlist, or denied—will be communicated through email.
We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through the application reviews.
Thank you,
Chris Espinoza

Hi to all! I applied and I haven't heard anything at all since February when I got the automated letter saying thank you for applying. It's been silent since. I've been super anxious and now I'm discovering that people have been notified of their acceptances. I've been checking religiously all my emails and spam folders... Someone please update me! Thank you and congratulations to all that has been accepted 🫶🏼

I would contact the admissions office, and ask them
Just a heads-up—some clarification on the blue card process:
The info shared on the UT Health site isn't entirely accurate based on my experience. I called the Texas Board of Nursing and initially had to wait about 45 minutes (I was #23 in line). When I finally spoke with someone, they explained that once the university (in this case, UT Health) sends in the accepted student roster, TBON re-runs your fingerprints using what's already on file.
If everything clears, they automatically send you an updated blue card—no additional action is needed on your part unless there's an issue. In my case, I had previously been accepted into the San Antonio College nursing program, already completed my fingerprints, and received my initial blue card long before UT Health even sent out their first notification. TBON told me they re-ran my prints, everything came back fine, and the updated blue card would be mailed out within a day or two.
So you don't have to call again unless you want to. Hope that saves someone some phone time!

Yes, I just followed the instructions on this website. You need to download the duo mobile app first, though. You'll need the passcode it provides you to be able to connect That website also gives you the web address you need to connect to after downloading the VPN attachment (or whatever it's called LOL).

It's $1500 not including Summer tuition. 🫣 I personally am going to opt out. I need to be home during the Summer with my kids anyway. Hopefully I can handle the course load. 😬
