Hi!! I started this forum for those applying to The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) for the Fall 2025 Traditional BSN program. I couldn't find any previous forums for the 2025 start term, so hopefully we can all connect here.
just use your login info they gave you. There are some things already loaded in.

You book an appt through the email they sent you. You just need your ID to get your fingerprints done. After that, if everything is cleared, they send a little blue card (looks almost like junk mail or a postcard so don't throw it). You take a picture of it front & back, save as PDF, and then upload it to canvas. I had to message them because I didn't have the option to upload it. She added it as an "assignment" on canvas for me.

How fast was the turn around for getting the blue card from your appointment?
Just curious—are there any other military-affiliated students here?
(Veterans, reservists, active-duty, or military dependents)
I'm in the process of launching a new student organization called Veterans in Nursing (ViN), and I'd love to connect with anyone who shares that background.
Here's a quick overview:
Veterans in Nursing (ViN)
ViN is a student-led organization created to support, connect, and empower military-affiliated students pursuing their nursing degree at UT Health San Antonio. We aim to bridge the gap between military service and nursing education by building a strong community that understands the unique strengths and challenges of this transition.
Our mission:
To foster academic success, professional growth, and personal well-being through mentorship, peer support, resource navigation, and service.
Key goals include:
· Building a supportive peer network
· Mentorship between new and senior students
· Hosting workshops on VA benefits, GI Bill, and licensure pathways
· Collaborating with faculty on veteran-inclusive policies
· Offering clinical debriefs focused on wellness, resilience, and civilian transition
ViN is all about honoring our shared service and helping one another grow into mission-driven, compassionate nurses. If you're interested—or even just want to learn more—please feel free to reply or reach out. I'd love to get as many involved as possible!
