It was hard enough waking up to the alarm this morning at 5:30 am, but I am now seeing all these kids complaining of "not feeling well" most likely because they didn't fall asleep easily last night and had a hard time waking up this morning.
Anyone else seeing this?
It took me an entire week to get adjusted to one hour difference. By Friday I could hardly get out of bed. On Sat I slept until 10:30 am. That's 5 hours longer than normal. By Sun I felt human again. I abhore the time change. Why oh why do we still need it? I don't care which way they pick, I just want it to STAY one way.
I'm starting to wonder if I'd do better on a night shift. I have SO much trouble making my body wind down enough to go to sleep, then can't stay asleep and then have a horrible time waking up early. In the summer within a couple weeks I'm somehow on a 2-3am until 10am schedule without even trying. All school year I have to take melatonin and sometimes prescription meds on top of it to sleep. Maybe it's just an age thing??

I worked nights for a few months in my first year out of nursing school and it was terrible. I would feel flushed and feverish every morning when I was leaving work. I don't think I could do it long term.
It was also a tough period in my life so I could say stress played a big role in that as well.
