I'll keep a long story short. Basically I took the NCLEX RN recently and was obsessed with trying to figure out if I passed. I had somewhere between 115-125 questions. I noticed I had a lot of priority questions and 15 SATAs (if anyone cared). So I went home and was constantly looking for signs... That I passed...that I failed...anything. One think that I turned to, like many others, was the PVT. It's trying to reregister for the test, entering credit card info and all (although it's smart to change the expiration date to prevent it from actually charging your card). Anywho, I did that like 5 times the day of and got the "good" pop up. This eased my mind in a way. The next morning I got the same thing, and felt decent about it.
That all changed once I hit the 24hr post test mark. I tried the PVT once again and got the "BAD" pop up. My heart dropped, everything I felt before vanished. Plus, I read online that the PVT is more accurate after 24 hours. I just knew that was it.
A few hours into my pity party, I received an email with my license number. I continued crying, but out of pure joy. I was WRONG. The PVT didn't work for me. Plus I didn't even have to a full 48 hours for my results! PV won't be getting $8 out of me!
Now I realize everyone won't find things out as quickly as I did, but please do not rely on the PVT. It's not accurate and your risk paying $200. I say wait the 48 hours and see the quick results.
Good luck NCLEX takers!

Changing the expiration date does NOT prevent a charge
Well, luckily it didn't charge my card anyway. Maybe it was a divine intervention. I wouldn't recommend people risk it though. Thanks for commenting.
Did it try to charge your card? There are also random validity checks that tell you to contact your bank of card info isn't valid

Also, I think the $8 is related to the quick results available in many states, and has nothing to do with PVT, which is, of course, a TRICK - neither legitimate nor necessarily accurate.
I would encourage people not even bother with the PVT and instead either wait for results from BON or use quick results if available.
Yes it tried, and asked me to reenter the Cc info.
This is not unique. If you offer money multiple times in the first 24hrs the system may to a test of validity. You offered it tried to take your donation. But it's still urging more than a trick accurate as a magic 8 ball

Yeah, I was wondering how long it would take Pearson Vue to figure out how to keep people from doing this considering the massive amount of chargebacks they must be getting.

I felt a little better when I read this post. I tried the PVT and I had the bad pop up, just took the test this morning..
Did you get charged $200?
No. I put in the wrong expiry date. And it says payment declined...
