The NON early results states

Published

Hi, I'm new and I'm from Tennessee....We aren't an early results state so I was wondering how long it takes to receive your results I took my test last thursday ..the 9th of Feb. 2006...and What size envelope should I expect if I pass? I heard big envelopes mean bad....I'm a little nervous about my test..it shut off at 75 questions which i really did really bad or really good...I did have quite a few priority questions, two choose more than one..I'd get sometimes two or three priority questions in a row ..then it would go to a different type of questions..so i dont know if that was good or bad..i got a few culture questions, a few patient teaching on drugs...whos at greatest risk for cancer...a few diabetes ..questions and things like that..some of them seemed simple..a few a nurse from another unit which patient do you give her...etc. so I'm not sure if those are above minimum competency or not....any ideas?

I don't think I passed...I dont have a number up there..it says application in process or something..What does early results mean? If tn is not an early results state then how would I see my number? It should be up there within 48 hours right? oh..well...guess i'll save up and re take it..but i'm not looking forward to it...

You can call a n um ber to know if you passed a week after you take the exam. I live in TN too and took mine last tuesday. I am scared also.... Where do u work in TN? PM me

It is based on the Board of Nursing that you applied to, not where you live.

Not all states participate in early results, and if your state doesn't, then you will not be able to see anything on the Pearson-Vue website.

The states do not have set requirements as to when they need to post a license. A few even post your results by giving you a license number before you even return home from taking the exam, and others have you wait several weeks.

Early results mean that your results could be available on the Pearson-Vue website in just 48 hours.

I know PA doesn't participate in the quick results. Any idea on how long after you take the test that the license is posted on line??? I know if varies from state to state, I just didn't know if someone took it recently in PA and had some insight. I took it last Friday and I am starting to get a little antzy.

Thanks.

Pennsylvania can take between 2 days, and weeks. It all depends on how busy they are. It seems the more people take the NCLEX at a certain time, the longer it takes.

Mine was up in 2 days on PA's BON website. You need to go there and just put your name in and it with either show your name with a license number, or your name (after you click on it), with an expired GN permit (means failing...)

If you click on your name and you dont have a nursing license but your GN permit is still active, the BON has not yet processed your results.

Heres the website for PA:

I'm from TN also and it says application in process as soon as you take the NCLEX and stays that way until you are confirmed either pass or fail. You should be seeing the results very soon. I think it took 4 or 5 days for me. I called the BON abuse line 3 days after the NCLEX and they asked for my SSN and after I entered it the recording said this person holds a current RN license with no complaints filed. That was days before it showed up confirmed on the website. I'll see if I can find that number for you. Don't give up too soon.
