The mailbox watch is on

Published

Some of the students got letters that their applications were being reviewed and they'd get something in the mail in mid-October, others got rejection letters because their applications were not in order, I got NOTHING.

What does it mean? The funny thing is, I know I have enough points that if I don't get in, no one stands a chance. Also, I got a letter stating my application was in order before the deadline. But I won't rest till that mailbox gives me what I want! What does it mean?:specs:

The mailbox watch is on in earnest for me now! I just had the second of two interviews required to get into my program. The first interviewer said I interview "very favorably", and the second one said that she was going to recommend me very highly! I'm so excited! Now the wait begins...

Congrats to all of you.

Just one question. What are these points you girls are mentioning? I just had to ask.

:) Congratulations to all who got in. For me the best part of getting in to Nursing school was the shopping!! My suggestion is go have fun, dream of the day when you can wear any color, style, pattern you want! Enjoy the feeling of knowing "I'm going to be a nurse someday soon" My clinical instructor had this great advice for me, "Enjoy every moment of the journey, if you do, there will be no regrets.":D

Jemride you ask about points. In some ADN programs, points are assigned for accomplishing various criteria. That criteria is different for different colleges. For example you get 3 points for finishing A&P II or a certain number of points for getting certain scores on entrance exams. When time comes for admission, the students with the most points get in. There are no waiting lists. It's cut and dry. If you're below the cutoff, you can reapply during the next admission.

I think it makes more sense than these waiting lists I'm hearing about.

I would like to congratulate all of you that were accepted into the program :balloons: and throw out another good luck to all of US still waiting!
