Hello! I'm am so excited to be a (hopefully) nurse in the future! I am currently a male high school student but i just need some answers for the future! First is that i am worried about what i will look like in 30 plus years. if i start to bald and my hair gets thinner ehat should i do? to me it wpuld me weid to have a big bald spot and also what is it like in peds as a male nurse? do parents look at you differently because they think that only women have the right care for children? Thank you for everything and all of your stories that i have read have truly inspired me into going into this field when i graduate! I can't wait to join such a loving community
sorry i made a typo! in the third sentence its what not ehat and wpuld is would be and weid is weird. Sorry for the mistakes

lol, typos are ok. Umm, to answer your questions as i think you're asking, hair going thin or bald...doesn't matter, dude. That's gonna happen no matter what field you go into. and just fyi: the ppl you work with really could care less bout it. And as far as the whole peds thing...I generally stay away from peds if i can, but on the few occasions i've had to take care of them, it's really not been an issue at all. Treat them, respect them and the parents and all will be ok.
Thank you so much! you made my day for replying!lol!

Dude - why are you so anxious about being bald?
Work on the core of your being, not the surface. Develop your heart and your mind. Study hard. Love wastefully. Care for those dear to you and for strangers. Be honest and faithful and always true to your word. Be immaculately groomed but don't spend too much time in front of the mirror.
These are the virtues of real men. Your reward will be love and friendship. And knowing you have done well in your life.
You will find that if you live a loving and honest life, having hair or not will be of no consequence at all.

LOL....bald....LOL....I shave my head just to achieve that effect!
Pal, some of the best looking heads are bald.
Don't worry. Your patients sure don't.
My best to you.

I can't remember where I heard it, but I always go with this:
Bald is a choice, balding isn't.
I vow to myself, the day I start to comb the hair to hide something, it all comes off.

You might want to worry about getting into and graduating from NS instead of stuff 30 years into the future.
It is 30 years later for me and I am glad that I am looking older; that way super models and movie stars aren't calling me all the time!

If you start to go bald, shave your head. Works for countless men including me.
Oddly enough I find I am gettting way more attention from attractive 20 and 30 somethings nowadays than I ever got when I was in my 20's and 30's.
The media would have us believe that unless we are young and look like rock-stars we have no chance in the sexual arena. Horse-hockey!
I can relate to this, pal. I remember in my younger days when I had great looking hair then. However, on one day, while playing basketball with a bunch of guys, this one middle aged guy with a "comb over" was playing. When he dribbled the ball down the court, his hair would fly up and down and at times fall over to the one side of his head where he would have to flip it back with his hand. I remember telling myself then..."I will shave myself bald before I ever do that." Actually, trying to hide baldness makes it all the more noticeable to others that balding/baldness is there. Much better and neater to keep the hair cropped short (baldness and all) than to "comb over" to hide it. Honestly, you ain't fooling anyone with a comb over anyway.
So, to make a long story short....baldness?.....crop it short or shave it. Much better. Looks better.

I always heard that God made a few perfect heads; the rest He put hair on!
