Pffft.
I have resumes out all over which means, here, a literal 100 mile radius.

I hear that! I , unfortunately, have less experience than you( new grad awaiting licensing) and have seriously been on a tour of nearly every facility in town with no luck, yet. My classmates think it is the economy, and a lot of them worked hard to secure a tech job during school, to be " the internal candidate". The only places that seriously want to hire are agencies, and I know my skill set isn't anywhere near good enough to do agency. I say BOO to the job market.

Well, I'm a new RN, licensed in December. I was an LPN before that so, aside from LTC and offices, I'm being treated as a green grad.
Good luck to you, Sally.

I got the exact response from a potential employer. I applied at my local hospital for a PRN, CNA position. I called them every week to reiterate my interest. Last time I called I was told that they had hired internally. Bummer.
All we can do is keep looking. Good Luck!

These are tough times, hang in there, you will find something. sorry about that position.
Thanks, Alex. I should count myself lucky for having a job, I suppose. But I really miss patient care.

OMG, sounds like what happened to me. I was offered a job at local hospital (I knew VP) and he got me an interview. They said they would hire me, but they were "moving" positions around and would call me in about a month. Well time went by, so I contacted them. DON who interviewed me claimed she was still interested and to call HR. Well HR never returned my call, so a week later I got ahold of DON again. She said that she was sorry, but they had to give the job internally. And they never let me know. I stopped applying because they said they were hiring me, and never gave me a clue that there was a possibility that this job would go internal:angryfire I had to start job search all over again. Don't give up, I was finally hired after 100's of apps. Good Luck

You might have to do what I did. Since I was already working at the hospital, I went to the managers office. I introduced myself and let them know my situation and how willing I was to work. The position I applied for was given to someone with experience but she made a position just for me. She liked me that much. Maybe you will have the same luck.
Wishing you the best!

aw man that sucks. It has never failed me before.
I am sure something will pop up and you will love it.
The politics here are such that they won't move me even if they don't want me.
Strange place.
