The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
How to Apply for a Scholarship
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
Scholarship requirements:
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
Nursing (including RN, ADN, BSN, and graduate-level nursing programs)
Nurse Practitioner
Certified Nurse-Midwife
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
Scholarship award covers:
Tuition and Eligible Fees
A monthly stipend for living expenses
An annual other reasonable costs payment

Agreed that the JV guy is awesome, spoke to him today and it seemed like it didn't really matter if the form got back or not. Sounds like they would like to have all of the forms but if not and you get an award that they will get the information one way of the other. Did all of you receive emails about banking info? I only received the mistake email from VJ. Oh man I hope I didn't delete an important email, where they going to send the bank info through snail mail and email?
hello everyone! i was wondering if anyone from tn has heard anything yet???? i was told by someone at hrsa that if i were to receive a scholarship, that i wouldn't know anything until after july 30.... but obviously others have heard something. i still have my fingers crossed:)

hey, i'm from west tn...i did get the initial emails. don't give up, we were told august 23rd or something like that. :)
ok, so I had a little spare time and looked at the 2009 thread and discoved that those that recieved an email of finalists/altern (mid sept) recieved an officail letter in the mail mid oct (exactally 1 month later).....with that being said, we should hopefully be getting our letters mid Aug :) lets keep our fingers crossed!

Were the final notifications sent out through email or postal mail?

I email VJ today and he had received my information from my school. Hopefully we will hear something soon!!
