The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

I won the scholarship as well. I can't stop crying, literally. I am so thankful. God is good.
For those of you who did not get it, I'm sorry. I don't know your situation personally but yoy wouldn't be on here if you didn't need it. I will keep you in my prayers that your email comes late or that a better scholarship comes up for you soon. There is a plan for all of us.... Sometimes its just harder to find. Don't give up.
For all of those of you who did win, Congrats!! I'm so excited for you. May you enjoy this very special and beautiful day with relief.
I'm grateful to have spent the last few weeks stressing with all of you on here. It helped to find hope and relieve the tension when we were all so frustrated. Please keep in touch throughout nursing school on the newly created facebook page. Maybe, hopefully, I will work with some of you in the field someday. It would be an honor.
Congrats again and God Bless.
For next years recipients, I received all emails, had my credit checked, but did not receive even 1 phone call throughout the process. I was always able to modify my profile also. Take care and good luck.

Same here, received all emails, credit check but no calls or anything. :)
Hate to be the first downer but I DID NOT get the scholarship.I have CL. I received ALL the emails, even had a back and forth with JV, faxed back my contract and bank info, etc., but never had a credit check (I did freecreditreport.com and privacy alert for monitoring) and I received a 'snail mail' letter today saying "We regret to inform you that this year you have not been selected for further consideration."
It also says there were over 6400 applications for LESS THAN 500 new awards.
By the way I go to a very inexpensive school, about 2k a semester, so the stipend would've been their biggest expense for me.
I have a 15 month old, am a single Mom, 3.9 GPA, just starting nursing school, although I spent the last year taking classes online while waiting for the program to start, and I have attended college before, but about 15 years ago. I live and go to school in PA, and I receive TANF, Food Stamps, Medicaid, etc. Not sure if they know that, just acknowledging the need ;-{
I am generally quite good at essays, and hoped my recs were good, but can't say as I didn't read them ...
Just trying to give as much info as possible to anyone else trying to play the guessing game. (Oh yeah, on that note, on my original email to say I was being sent forward for final review, I couldn't see how many other people had my analyst, but on the one from Arthur W, there were 180 people on the list, including mllnj, who got it. Mll was 178th on my email, I was 107th. SO nothing to go on there, except that it was pretty clear one analyst wasn't going to be giving out 180 scholarships...)
I've tried to go through and kudo everyone, congrats to you all.
Oh, by the way, I ONLY received snail mail today, no email.
Im so sorry..... I hate that you did not get the scholarship. I feel really bad for you, and I think it is great that you are on here utting it out there, so other people can analyze their situation. I would call later and ask why you were not selected. Maybe in a few weeks or something. I wonder what happened....

I got the scholarship! Praise God! I am very grateful!
God does what is best for each one of us and at times, it may be difficult to deal with but it is all worth it in the end!
