The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.

My school has us going during summers. I had a nursing class from May until Mid June and then a humanities course that I need for graduation from mid-June until the beginning of August. So, I am hoping they will somehow verify this information so that I can get the stipend for July and Aug, if I get the scholarship.
On another note, I just looked at my phone about 20 mins ago and I see that I have a missed call from about an hour and a half earlier from area code 301. I had wondered if I should call it back because there was no message left. Well I call, and it was someone from HRSA (I think it was VJ) and I tell him I missed a call and was calling back. He wanted to verify my tuition. I guess my school never got back to them. I told him what it was and he said that's what he got also from my school's website, so he just wanted to see if that was about right. I asked if we would be finding out anytime soon and he said probably around the 23rd.
I guess that's a good sign.
I've received the stipend payment year round -- the payment in october included July aug sept and oct. We didn't start class until the 23rd of Aug. and they would not have even known if I took summer classes or not -- if you ask them, they will tell you your contract goes from July to June - so you will get stipend payments for each of those months.

Sounds good to me!!:yeah:
Did you sign a two year contract? Or just one? If you did sign a two year contract, have you heard anything for this year?

Do you think that is true for students who start school Sept 27th (like me..)??? I read the information that the NSP contract is as you stated July to June, but it also says I need to be in class for at least 15 days that month in order to receive the stipend....it is as clear as mud...
