Hi All!
I'm a crazy father of 2 ex-premed who just recently turned down Northwestern to go into a RN program.
I already have an Associate in Science, but I'll be getting another ADN and then go to a 4 yr school.
When I went to an info session about the RN program ill be trying to get into, out of like 70 ppl only 5 were guys.
So I want to know are there any men out there?
I am an LPN of seven yrs. now returning for my RN! I am happy to see more men in the field. I encourage all LPN students to go on to the RN transition program and don't wait! I worked Med Surg for 2.5 yrs and then geriatrics as an agency nurse for about 5 yrs. It was good experience but now that I am back in school I regret not moving on to my RN sooner.

don't stop with your RN. Next get your BSN and keep going. The world is Nurses osyter. You can be everything or nothing. Just pray about it.
Hello! Just stopping by. Been a long time reader, first time poster. I have been a assistant tech for 5 years and decided to go to school full-time. I in nursing school this semester going for ADN.
As a tech I worked at an ER and I plan to go back. In the long run I want get my BSN or MSN and be a traveling nurse or flight nurse. Oh yeah, my loved one is already a BSN.
Hey Guys
I'm a student RN, 26 years old and in my first semester attending school in Nevada. My class is pretty large, a total of 82 students and 21 are male. The class ratio seem good, I mean compared to other schools but then again their are 82 students total. We are slowly coming up in the nursing field. Good to see more males doing nursing.
Hey guys,
Spent 7 years in the Army, deployed twice, hit some bad times after I got out. Eventually got my act together and managed to complete an EMT-B course. A year of working EMS has convinced me to go for my RN, so I'm working on my pre-reqs right now. Might go for the BSN down the line, but one thing at a time.
Hello men, Father of 2 boys, quit my normal job and decided to go to nursing school. Began about a month ago and the stress begins. I'm enjoying it so far but am a little concerned about the female to male ratio. There are, out of 130 students, 20 males. Highest ratio yet in this college. Check you guys out later.

I am 25 yrs old and in my first semester in nursing school. This is my second career(Economics/Business Mngt) background. I would say there is about 30 dudes out of approx. 200 people in my program now but my program is so competitive that usually only about 1/5 of the students usually graduate. Wish me luck.
