The fire and drive is gone?!

Hi guys, I am new to this site.I love the fact that so many ppl come here and get the support that they need. Well I graduated from school in march of 06 and we are just testing. That's another story :) ! Well guys I worked really hard to get out of school and now that I'm out I feel LAZY and dont have that fire and drive I had in school. Well I go take boards next month on AUG.22 and it's hard for me to pick up a book. I don't know why but I have a child and this is not only for me but for her to. I am going back to school for RN in Jan. of 07 if I pass boards but I have to study. I dont work so how can I get my fire back b/c I want it! I have all the nclex books so I have no reason to be acting so lazy. And I do live in N.O. so I will like to get this out the way on my first try before the next big one come ;) . If any one can tell me they once been here and it will be fine I will be soooo happy to know I am not the only one, Thanks.

Maybe by getting a job, working and using what you learned will help spark the fire again. What I do with myself is just FORCE myself to study by setting up a designated time every day that I have to study during.

I was lazy during the first five or six months of school. However, I diligently studied and read my material after graduation because I wanted to pass NCLEX on my first attempt. I was unemployed and my savings account was dwindling, which was my motivation for studying.

Don't forget to drop by the NCLEX Forum for help with the NCLEX.....

Thanks guys and omg I did not know about the nclex forum and I love that one also. I can say I did open a nclex book today :)

Hi Im happy you can relate to me on this one. But I guess we can all get burned out sooner or later. But Im happy to see we have each other to get us through. It was hard to get into my book but at the end of the day I know it's a good reason way I am doing this. I hope you are able to refocuse w/ your own studies and good luck w/ the test.
