The College of Healthcare Professions

U.S.A. Texas

Has anybody heard of The College of Healthcare Professions? I am interested in their LVN to ADN program. Does this college take in alot of students? How much is the program? How did you like the program?

Specializes in Critical Care; Cardiac; Professional Development.

Never heard of them. The cost should be on their website. If the cost per credit hour isn't there, that's a red flag.

You want to know how many are admitted to each cohort and of those, how many actually graduate the program and of those who actually graduate the program, how many go on to pass the NCLEX. Those numbers should not have a wide variance from each other. If they do, you don't want that school.

If they are a for-profit institution, you will pay WAY too much for this.

Finally, find out if they are nationally accredited. If not, run far and fast from them. None of the credit hours will transfer when you decide to advance your degree and they will definitely have a poor reputation with area employers.

Good luck.

Thank you for the response. Im looking for someone who went to this school to respond to this post about their experience during the program.

I just looked them up! Think their total cost for the program is $42,000.00

Are they accredited? Do they have wait lists? I am also interested in finding out more.

$42K for an ADN is the very definition of insanity.

Nursing school is soo darn expensive if you want to pay for the no wait list and just hurry up and get it done mentality.

Most of them are for-profit schools with abysmal reputations in the medical community and abysmal NCLEX pass rates.

You will want to research attrition rates for any school you are considering. This means you need to know how many were accepted into the program versus how many actually made it through to graduation. Even if their NCLEX pass rate is high, there is a policy in some schools to "kick out" those that they feel will not pass NCLEX so that they don't graduate the program and then go on to fail the exam. A high attrition rate or poor NCLEX pass rate is a huge red flag that should never be ignored.

This school is hybrid, online and on campus.

Is it $42,000 total for the program only or is that including pre-reqs. I am wondering if I take my pre-reqs at a community college whether that could split the cost of the nursing college and take my down to $20,000 total?

I believe the total cost with prerequisites is 42,000. See my attachment. The attachment shows the curriculum and what classes are online and what classes are on campus plus what test you have to take. Let me know if you saw the attachment.

I thought the entrance exams wouldn't be to hard since its the Hesi exam which test on English, Grammar, and Math no science and a LVN to RN mobility test which is a nursing test.
