Well I just got back from taken the NCLEX-RN and I feel terrible to say the least. I had no idea it would be that hard. It shut off at 105 questions. I had like 15 medication questions and I had not heard of most of them. How can you pick an answer if you have no clue on the med? It stinks when you have to guess between 4 answers with no clue and I feel like I had to do that alot. I had some diseases that I never heard of as well...did the same thing guess. I was 99% sure of 3 answers out of 105 and that is not good at all.
My question for all who have taken the test...I was in the higher level of questions or I am just clueless?
I feel that the test was mostly meds, priority and a few team management questions. Hardly no peds, no ABB ( I was shocked at that), maybe 4 psych, No cardiac. I am telling you I must have failed b/c nothing I know was on the stupid test!
To those who have failed...Did you know you failed and just hoped for the best? I am trying to stay optomistic but it is hard when all I can say is I can't believe I did that terrible.
As you can see my brain is mush!

I have not taken the test yet (and won't for a few years) but I hope you did better than you think! I know how that is what you take a test and everything you know and expect to be on there isn't, and things that you have no clue about are everywhere! Anyway, I just wanted to say that I hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as you are expecting it to be!
Thanks for the encouragement. I hope I am plesently surprised but I doubt it. Thanks for the reply.

I took the NCLEX-RN July 24th, and passed with 75 questions. I'm guessing you had higher level questions, because you state that you had a lot of priority questions. I had a lot of priority questions as well, along with many delegation questions, and med questions. I was also relieved that I didn't get a ridiculous amount of alternate questions like I've heard others say. I got like 3 or 4 of those. It seems like you're in good shape. I too was only sure of only a few questions, but apparently, that's normal. Wish you the best!

Pearson will post your results in 48 hours for a fee of $7.95 *IF* you live in a "Quick Results" state. You should know if you are if you got a notice upon leaving the testing site telling you that.
If your state does not participate, you will find out either by seeing your name on the SBON website (some get it as fast as 24 hours, others a week, a couple weeks, several weeks...). Worst case scenario is waiting until you get your license in the mail (several weeks).
Maybe someone from Ohio can tell you more specifically :)

Hang in there. The test is set up where both passers and failers tend to score around 50%, so it leaves (or should leave) everyone a little uncertain.

Hello there. I took the test twice and failed both times. I'm scheduled to take my exam next week but my advice for you is to stop worrying about your test and how well you did because it is really hard to figure out the result. Don't stress too much about the test. You took it, you did your best, so all you can really do now is wait. Treat yourself to something good. Don't waste your energy in trying to figure out whether or not you passed. Do something fun and try not to worry about the test becase there will be a right time to deal with it ... deal with it after you get your result :) For now, don't think about the test because you did your best :) Goodluck in your result.

I also took the nclex twice, and failed both times, even though I was an A student all through the nursing program. How frustrating. I am gearing up to try for the third time. I hope you passed. Just know way of knowing. If not, try again as we all do!!!!!

I wasn't aware the NCLEX is also testing our patience and perseverance......(lol)
As I said in the other thread, no one failed..it is just that others took it once, others twice, other thrice, other four times....
The only ones who failed are those who already gave up trying.....
