just want to thank er nurses (and other er people) for the hard work you do every day. i had to go down there during a busy time last night b/c got hurt at work, and though it was loud and crazy, multiple people coming in, very busy; everyone there was patient, calm, professional no matter what. i really appreciated it. i know that you deal with a lot of complainers & "unsatisfied customers" (i saw many of them last night as they had me in a section of the waiting room pretty close to the intake desk) and that you have a thankless job in many ways, and just wanted to let you know you are appreciated.(even though it was kind of whirlwind and i didn't get to thank everyone that helped me at the time. i did thank the doctor as i was leaving but kind of felt silly as she was at the desk and probably was busy with a lot sicker patients, but didn't think about that till later. i do plan to write a letter or something when i feel better to thank people.)
i'll echo this thanks. i haven't been to the er recently (knock wood) but every time i have, the er staff has been calm, professional and competent. i appreciate them, too!

I know the people you mention in your letter will be grateful that someone took the time to write about the positive care they received. I saved a copy of letter someone sent to my director a few years ago. It meant a lot to me.
