You should absolutely send one and you should send it the day of your interview. I have interviewed twice since i graduated, sent a note both times, and was offered both positions. The HR woman actually thanked me for sending one. It will make you stand out and let them know how serious you are about the job! Good luck!
Definitely send it! I'm a new grad, albeit a second degree grad, so I struggled with the card vs. email thing. I ended up doing both...I don't see how it could've hurt. I sent a business-like, professional-type email and followed up with a handwritten card the same day. I did get the job! Good luck to you!!!
Personal note is great but if it is a large hospital it may be awhile before correct person gets it.. I would send a email note to a hospital Hiring manager and a personal note if you could walk into a facility and leave it with front desk so the it gets there quickly. Thank her for her time, express you desire for the job.. but make it fairly short.
Funny story, my mom was HR manager for many years. She hated what she called "bread and butter letters", with her it would be a negative but she readily admitted most HR people loved them. But of course she did not like most HR people either! Years ago, I never sent them but in current job search I certainly would!!

Should I send one? I had my interview Thurs. and was thinking of sending one Monday. Opinions?
