I don't know how to thank all of you that have encouraged me and to those who have given suggestions. I have no doubt without this board and all of you it would have been a much harder and longer road without all of you. Trust me after taking test two times and getting 265 questions twice and failing the first time you can tell my anxiety. Again thank all of you and if there is anything I can do to help those that need a little push to pass just ask. I'll always be around this board.......:yeah::up::bowingpur:bowingpur:bowingpur:bowingpur:bowingpur

:dancgrp:CONGRATULATIONS, JALOC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yeah:

Congratulations..........By the way,how did you prepare for your 2nd attempt?Hope you could share some advices or tips...

Before the first exam I had taken Hurst and that was about it. I didn't take my instructors serious about doing 4 to 5 thousand questions, so with the anxiety and my classmates getting up after 75 questions I knew I was in trouble. I can't say if Hurst helped, but the review they give as with any other live review stress on knowing the basics. But if your not putting those basic with actual illnesses it's not going to help. The only way you can do that is to do lots of questions and look at the rationals. The couple math problems were not hard, and be familiar with basic lab values. If you really want to do well and not take any chances be familiar with widely used drugs and their classes. When you know what class a common drug is in the side effects are easier to recognize. I guess the reason I'm stressing going over lots of questions is that Nclex ask questions that make you think about a combination of items to come to a conclusion. Nursing schools as with most reviews, you memorize and cram and now you need to apply that. Trust me, I didn't think taking practice test and practice test would help, but it makes a big difference.

:yeah::redpinkhe:nurse: The most valuable secret of success is that there is no secret. Success comes not from seeking to uncover some exotic hidden formula, but rather through persistently following through on opportunities to create value.

The best shortcut to achievement is to avoid looking for a shortcut. Simply get busy and do the work required, for that is the quickest way to reach the goal you've set.

The most effective way to handle what must be done is to do it. Procrastinating, agonizing, complaining and avoiding will only prolong the task and add greater difficulty to it.

Life is not always easy, and wishing for things to be easier will usually make them more difficult. The time-tested strategy for making life truly easier is to go ahead and work through each challenge as it comes along.

By so doing, you grow stronger, more capable, more effective and more experienced. You put yourself in position to live life on your own terms.

The route to success is no secret, and is in fact hidden in plain view. Use every opportunity to make a difference, and you'll go precisely where you choose to go.:nurse::redpinkhe:yeah:
