I passed yesterday with 75 questions. The test is still a blur but I know without all the wonderful resources that I found here I would not have been able to pass. I received so much advice hear from people just by reading all your posts. This is where I found out about Hurst Review, LaCharity book, Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2010 Strategies book and Spiderman.

I got the Hurst Review before I graduated and I think that was so helpful for me to just pull everything together. It helped me do real well on my exit HESI. The LaCharity book helped me to improve on answering the SATA type questions which were my extreme weakness. Kaplan was good for practice for me but I didn't really follow any of the tricks for figuring out questions. I went more with my knowledge or my reasoning of why something was the right answer. Spiderman and knowing that I needed to be aware of infection control was also invaluable information.

To break it all down I used Hurst, LaCharity, Davis NCLEX RN success 2nd ed. CD only, & Kaplan Strategies. I completed 2884 questions before I sat for my test. I reviewed all the question/rationales that I got wrong in the LaCharity book the day before my test. I started to use my Saunders CD for my questions but then I read on here how much people thought the Davis CD was more challenging. I switched then to my Davis CD that I never used during school because I used my Saunders CD. At the time I didn't realize people where talking about a new edition 2010 version of Davis but, oh well, I didn't have time to go though another NCLEX book so I just stuck with what I had. Plus my husband would of killed me if he saw me buy one more nursing book.

I am so happy to be done with studying. I feel like I have my life back. I am cleaning my house today and taking control back. Mom is back in town so I told my kids no more leaving your things everywhere. Just think my kids will be able to find their clothes in their drawer now instead of a basket or on the couch. My sister told me today to look around me because my four kids are two years older and that I shouldn't even look at my garden. My poor roses. I am just so thankful and also most importantly I have to thank God. I thank God for answering my prayer I say to him often. " I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me".
