hopeless sometimes and blaming myself being not smart enough to pass. or God is not
letting me to pass because im a sinner. cant stop thinking what to do.. HeLP!!! thanks
Wow lol. When I said memorizing the questions of course you also memorize the answers. I studied every day. So much that i memorized all of the Kaplan Q Bank questions (and answers) and many of the Nclex book questions. When I was studying and saw a word i did not understand. For example (Dyskinesia). I would write it down on my notebook. I would look up and investigate any word I did not understand until I understood exactly what it was. Many times I would also see videos on procedures or illnesses. If you are a visual learner I recommend watching many videos. I am trying to help. Not sure why there are so many attacks against me. Edit: Study many multiple answer questions. Over half of my test was select all that apply.
Idk why your being attacked either , I was responding to you , not the person who replied , but whatever , anyways , I understand what you meant ? Like if you memorize the answer & questions , you know the information , and you already worked on how to answer nclex like questions , everyone is different , so when I seen what you put & was told by my tutor to do so , I decided to ask , thanks so much for your info ! Have a blessed one
OK this. I have to say, it always irks me a little when posters say their passing the NCLEX is totally in God's hands, and multiple fails means He doesn't want you to be a nurse. There are plenty of AWESOME nurses who are atheists. Saying that God won't let you pass because you're a sinner is ridiculous. There'd be no nurses at all if that were the case[/quote']or God is not letting me to pass because im a sinner. cant stop thinking what to do.. HeLP!!! thanks
Well that's you. If ppl want to say that they can , we believe that's what it is , and you believe what you want
It has been nearly 13 years since my ADN program but my school utilized only board type questions on all of our tests in the nursing courses throughout the program. It was extremely challenging at first but definitely helped prepare us. Only 3 out of 40+ students failed the first time and later passed. But i know this doesnt help you much.
Did you ever get in touch with your school/instructors to see how the rest of your class did? If multiple people are struggling like you, i would question the curriculum and your knowledge base. Also, by contacting them perhaps they can offer you some advice because i imagine they have come across this issue before.
If you were truly a good student and dean lister then you should know the material. Therefore you need to evaluate other possibilities: language barrier, test anxiety, other test taking issues, critical thinking difficulties (i think this is a mega issue for those who fail more than once), etc.
Do a search on this website as there have only been a gazillion posts regarding what ones have done to pass and regarding ones who have made posts similar to yours seeking help/advice.
Bottom line- If you perform an honest self-examination, determine the areas you need help in, utilize all available resources for assistance, and utilize the appropriate amount of time and effort to study, then there is no reason you should continue to fail. This is an entry-level nursing competence exam, not an expert exam. I wish you the best.

Good luck with the exam. :)

; ) && FYI I tried that the first 2 times , so I decided to try something different cause I didn't succeed wl that method
*I studied this way and passed NCLEX with my first try.

I really think its important to know how not to kill your patient, so I would try to find a review course and if that doesn't work I would take it as a sign that this isn't the career for you. Something is wrong with society when so many people say "you can do it, you can do it". Yea- Maybe you CAN do it, eventually. That doesn't mean that you SHOULD do it. There isn't anything wrong with saying, "Ya know what, this isn't the field for me".
Are there people who fail multiple times and still make marvelous nurses? Yes! Are there people who pass on the first try who suck like a hoover? Yes again! Are there people who fail multiple times and just don't have what it takes? Yes! If you are in the later category (and really, only you know that. We're just a bunch of strangers on the internet) consider an alternate career or a different deviation of healthcare.
