Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!
Can someone post their waitlist email please
We're pretty much SOL unless people fail to accept or decline but who's really gonna do that?
Dear [DELETED],
Your application to TWU's upper-division nursing program has been considered for Fall 2016 admission.
You did not fall within the top tier of ranked applicants selected to receive an initial offer of admission; however, you are within the range to be considered on the waiting list. Should enough students decline (or fail to confirm their acceptance by the deadline), additional students from the wait list will be offered admission until we have a full class of confirmed students.
Regards,
TWU Nursing Admissions Staff
Additionally, they sent this out a few minutes after because I'm sure they were being flooded with phone calls and emails (myself included).
Hi all,
So, a lot of you have been calling and emailing already to ask about your position on the wait list. We aren't actually planning on giving out students' positions on the wait list just yet. Wait lists are a new thing for us that NursingCAS allows us to do.
I can tell you that Dallas was way more competitive than normal. Many students whom we would have expected to make it in did not make that first cut. It is very common, especially for Fall entry, for Dallas to add more students. In fact, sometimes they'll add students the week prior to classes beginning.
I wish I could be more specific, but things vary each semester. Telling you a number isn't going to mean much. I could tell you that you are #1 on the list, but they may never add any additional students. Alternately, there have been semesters where 50 or so students were admitted. There's just no point to worrying you all with numbers right now. A lot of it depends upon how many students decline their spots, or how many don't show to the May new student orientation, or how many don't realize that their criminal background isn't as clean as they thought, and thus can't start in fall.
I know you're anxious, and, believe me, we root for you. You'll be informed more clearly after April 1st.

Congrats everyone!!!! This was also my second time applying. When I didn't get in last term, I retook 2 classes and brought up my gpa by .3 points. That made all the difference cause I got in this time!! So don't give up guys !!!! If you want this bad enough do what you have to do to get it! [emoji5]ï¸ I know the feeling sucks, I've been there. But you've gotten this far! Keep going reapply, apply to more schools! And I'm sure many of you on the wait list will get in..... Because many people apply to other schools and this isn't everyone's first choice. Anyway, I'm humbled and honored to have shared this experience here with ALL of you....
& to my Houston peeps .... Can't wait to see you guys this fall!!!'[emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
