Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2024

Published

Hey there everyone,

Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

I'm thinking that we will still get decisions starting March 28th as the group from last year started getting them that day and they stated that the class before them also got them the last week of March even though these emails keep saying mid to late April.

I am praying for this! The waiting game is torture!

I received my eligibility email. This waiting game hurt my mental health 🥹.

Oh I hope so!  The wait is painful! Gah!

ten day countdown starts now I guess :,)

I think there's more people that applied this year so fingers crossed we still get ours by the end of the month

Has anyone taken or is taking Pathophysiology?  If so, how's the class and any recommendations on how to study for it?  I'm thinking about taking it over the Summer...if I'm accepted of course!

I'm currently taking it (online). The best advice I can give you is to make sure you set aside plenty of time to study and comb through the material that the professor will tell you to cover, and do so in a timely manner, because the work can stack on quickly if you don't keep a good timeline of working through the class. My professor makes powerpoints and will inform the class to look over the powerpoints more than the book, but to also read small sections of the book to supplement the powerpoint(s). I personally found making notecards from the powerpoints to study for the exams is what works for me the best. Overall if you face it head on, it is very manageable, and the biggest takeaway for me is that I'm thankful to get it out of the way before my (hopefully) first nursing school semester, that way I can focus on Pharm, class and labs more.

Smart move! One less class to worry about.

I'm taking it online at TWU Denton/Dallas (I can't remember if the online is based out of Denton or Dallas but it's the same program). It's 4 credit hours.

has anyone received an acceptance letter yet?
