Hey there everyone,
Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

This is kind of the situation I am in. I didn't realize that with such a high demand for nurses, schools would stay as selective as they have been. I have met a lot of great people thus far in this process but I have also met quite a few people who will cheat just to get an A. It can't be avoided I guess. Anyways, my TEAS scores are average and my GPA is below average for the applicants. I had some setbacks in my personal life that interfered with my academics and I was only able to scrape by with some Bs for those two semesters of prerequisites, but my grades have since improved so I know I am capable! If I am being honest, I built more nurse-like character from withstanding those tribulations than sitting in any class for 3 hours. I hope that if things don't work out this time around, I can work to achieve it in the future!

Keep staying positive? did you apply to other schools?

Nope nothing. At this point I think if you haven't received an email stating you weren't eligible then I look you're good. Hopefully around the end of this month we will hear back

Additionally, does anyone know if we can retake the TEAS for a better score? Or is it too late for that at this point.
Thanks!
It's wayy too late. Unless you want to apply for next semester

My stats look similar to yours, and I am also applying to Dallas. I am praying it's good enough!!
GPA 3.95
SCIENCE GPA 3.8
TEAS 88.7
I am also a transfer student.
Good luck to you!
I'm a transfer student applying to Dallas. Here are my stats:
Nursing GPA 3.89
Science GPA 4.0
Cumulative GPA 3.59
TEAS 92.7
Although my stats are OK, I'm pretty sure I'll be disqualified because I haven't completed my elementary statistics class yet. 😞 I took business statistics several years ago, and I have taken higher level math classes (calculus), so I have shown my math competency (if that is what they're wanting from a statistics class), so I figured what the heck. I know it's a long shot, but .. YOLO! 😂😂😂

They prefer people who did their prereqs and TWU and people with a prior degree, but I'm pretty sure they did stop the points system to have more holistic admissions.
