Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2024

Hey there everyone,

Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

Although my stats are OK, I'm pretty sure I'll be disqualified because I haven't completed my elementary statistics class yet.  😞  I took business statistics several years ago, and I have taken higher level math classes (calculus), so I have shown my math competency (if that is what they're wanting from a statistics class), so I figured what the heck. I know it's a long shot, but ..  YOLO!  😂😂😂

 

Your stats are wonderful!! Yea that's sucks. If you haven't completed elementary stat before the application has been submitted. Your application is incomplete.

Wow your stats are really good! With a 4.0 GPA and the fact that you did your pre-reqs at TWU, I would be surprised if you didn't get in!

Anyone applied to Dallas weekend/evening program?

@LolaJohn yeah, it sucks. Another school I applied to waived the elementary statistics requirement because I've taken a higher level math, which satisfied the requirement. So who knows... But really, I expect to get my rejection email from TWU any day now. 😅

Yes I know some schools will opt you out if you have a higher level. But hey it doesn't hurt to try. You never know.

when we finally do get decisions does anyone know if it'll be through an email or through nursingcas?

It'll be through email. Check your spam too - the school warned that sometimes their emails are sent to spam mailboxes.

I heard from Nursing Admissions last week and again today - they are for sure combing through applications!  

I had previously been told by a TWU school counselor that the Business Statistics class I had taken years ago did not transfer as MATH 1703 Elementary Statistics. Fully expecting this to disqualify my application, I decided to apply anyway. (I had already transferred transcripts to NursingCAS, so figured why not...?).  On Friday, Nursing Admissions asked for the syllabus to the Business Statistics class.  Today I heard from them again - my Business Statistics class DOES transfer!   To think I wasn't going to apply to TWU because of this!  Sheesh.  So excited (and so so shocked) to be back in the running!!

No. I guess no news is good news. They did tell me that they are going to process my application.
