Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2024

Hey there everyone,

Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

Does anyone know if there's like a virtual information session I could attend for TWU nursing? Or something along those lines? I feel like the website doesn't have much info to go off of.

There was but it's always booked no matter what I finally got into one and all they did was explain everything from the website. There's a video on YouTube however with a little more information. It's older but it'll help a little.

Has anyone heard anything about your application being eligible? I'm guessing no news is good news?

Also forgot to mention if you want to go to Dallas's open house to tour the school I would register now! I already got my tickets it fills up quickly.

Not yet. I actually called the school of nursing today regarding that eligibility email and they just said that it will come when it comes. The woman I spoke to also threw out a much larger number on applicants - she said they are processing over 900 admissions at the moment.

I got an email saying they had received my application and that decisions would get sent out in late March or early April.

Can I ask when they sent it? And was it from Houston or Dallas? I received the initial NursingCAS verification email but as far as the school itself is concerned, I havent heard a peep.

they sent it Jan 30. I applied to Dallas but the email just came from TWU's nursing department.

Yeah, that sounds about right! On the 30th I got an email from the nursing department but it was more so a reminder to applicants on what to do after their applications (background check, immunizations, etc.). I've started calling every couple of weeks to make sure I havent missed any communications, specifically since they do not send out one mass email to all applicants at the same time. I'm sure it gets annoying, but I'd rather check numerous times than miss one thing and suddenly be out a semester.
