I can't get into nitty-gritty detail like I want because they have you sign a NDA, but I'll tell you how I prepped for my CRNA schools interviews (including TexWes) last cycle. I was accepted.
-Know the type of patients you get (9/10 any committee will ask you this Q). Don't bring up any patient you are not willing to expand on. I love sepsis so I had studied the pathophys, treatments, pressors (all the way down to the cellular level--know this for your commonly used pressors, sedation, etc.), hemodynamics, labs...

-I watched all of the Ninja Nerd cardio/pulm Youtube videos and I am VERY glad I did. It helped a lot. I also watched pharm Youtube videos and bought a used pharm book to really get a better understanding of the drugs.

-After hearing about other people's experience at CRNA program interviews, I expected them to pressure/intimidate me. I told myself it is like a game, don't fall for the tricks ? . Helps make it less scary LOL Take a deep breath, don't rush yourself, be honest if you don't know the answer. I was grilled, but fairly prepared. When I didn't know something, I was honest and expressed that I would love to learn more about it. They do not expect you to know everything.

-Trust your gut. Breathe. Remember they are trying to gauge how you critically think and carry yourself. Remember you are trying to see if they are a good fit for you too!!

Good luck!!

P.S. I recommend asking TCU what would have made the different for an acceptance for some constructive criticism. ? This is common to do. Learn what you can from that experience, and then move on! This is a new opportunity and it will be very different from TCU. Don't bring the baggage ❤️ Both schools liked what they saw on paper. You just have to seal the deal!!

Thank you so much for the information! I've been studying 2 pressors and 2 forms of sedation to make sure I know them very well since I use them all the time. I also get alot of sepsis pts and was going to make sure I knew that well and common vent settings. Two of the CRNAs I've shadowed both went to TWU so I was going to see if they could mock interview me. I emailed TCU last night to ask how I could strengthen my application so I'm very curious to see what they say! Just going to keep on studying and hopefully prove I can do it!

They finally said interviews would be between oct 12-14 and we'll have sign up times emailed by end of September if you applied for the 1st round of interviews.

Thank u! I live in Louisiana. I found out at the end of July that I was selected for an October interview then they just told us the dates last week so I'm assuming they maybe let us pick our time on one of those dates by how the email was worded. They said the interview time slot is for 1.5 hours!

You submitted your application long time ago then! I submitted it right before sept 1, but one of my references did not get it done until 9/4th. I wonder if that counts as priority...

Did you receive email notification from them recently for oct interview?

Yeah it was through email. I can't remeber exactly when I submitted mine but I think it was in June or early July.

I interviewed over the phone Monday and got an offer for a seat. Once you interview I think the decision and notification is done pretty quickly

what kind of questions did they ask you over the phone and do you know what makes someone get a phone vs group vs individual interview? This year is supposed to be a video chat interview but I think it can still be group or individual.

Has y’all application status for TWU changed yet?

For some reason, I can't gain access to my application anymore to check. I've emailed Amanda and she said it's because they're changing application systems but that it won't interfere with receiving the actual decision email. Seeing everyone getting these status changes is stressing me out.

How many people have had status changes? Hasn’t it only been a couple?
