UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Sup everybody ! knowing it's a bit early, but I just wanted to start this thread for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2026 program. Anyone here plan on applying?

Me either, I'm wondering if it may be related to alphabetical order because my name is all the way towards the end.

I haven't heard anything yet and I don't know if it's alphabetical since I'm more in the middle

They do it at random. This is my second time applying for TTUHSC ABSN program. From what I remember last time they give everyone who was sent an email a chance to accept/decline then who declines a spot they will send out an additional email to those next in line. So, when another email is sent it'll be either an acceptance, waitlist, or rejection. 
 

The waitlist is a random pool and not alphabetically. I tried asking previously how far I was on the line up and they wouldn't tell me just to wait for an email. 
 

I wouldn't get discourage if you don't get into this program but highly recommend looking at other schools now or even the ADN route.

Thank you for the info! I can only apply to a handful of schools for Spring with the timing/not able to move yet/required pre-reqs. Some only enroll in fall too. So if I don't get into TTU I'm only applying to TCCs ADN program. But I'll definitely work on gaining experience before applying for next fall to more schools. My friend alerted me yesterday afternoon that decisions started coming out and I've been anxious ever since. It's nice to hear other people have applied more than once since I'm coming to terms with possibly not getting accepted 🥲

I'd rather tell y'all my past experience because once others get accepted this sub will dead. I know Tech has a lot of applicants especially since it dosent require the TEAS or HESI 😵‍💫. Since they don't have scores to go off of they go off mainly grades, repeating classes, and GPA.

Hey, everyone! I just received this email response!

 

Thank you for your email. We are hoping to have all decisions out by late September, early October. Any updates to your application will be sent by email, so be sure to check your email regularly.

Please let our office know if you have any further questions.

Last time acceptance was sent out on a Monday (like now) and I found out about being waitlisted on that Thursday.

Hi everyone! I've been staying updated through this forum, and I have not received anything yet either, so I emailed their admissions. This was the reply: 

If you have not received a decision notification yet, it means that your application is still in the review process. All applicants will be notified via your email, and your application status portal. Unfortunately, I do not have a definite timeline on when decisions will be sent out.

So don't stress in the waiting!!

It was my understanding that they are setting up TTU emails for those that don't have them yet, and everything will go there. I think once you've accepted your offer, we're to work on obtaining & uploading CPR, Shot Records, CNA card, etc.
