I got the same email from the lubbock campus to do the video essay. its kinda like a one way interview that you record yourself doing. it went to my junk mail, which was strange, but im so happy i got past the first round of cuts, congrats to the rest of you who recieved the same email!! this will definetly weed out the people who just applied to texas tech because it was on the list on NursingCAS, they wont want to put in the effort to do this, and since its kinda late in the game for emails, some people probably have acceptance letters into the school they want to go to. good luck!

Well I've completed my video essay...now I am extremely anxious about the results of it and hoping I answered the questions to their liking. NOW if I Am rejected it will be weighing down on me tht it was strictly bcz they did not approve of what the saw or heard on my essay which will make me even MORE self conscience...I hope a video essay won't be considered by anymore schools in the future bcz if was challenging to say the least. But nevertheless I'm greatful for tht oppertunity

I'm sure you did great! No worries! I wonder why they didn't send it to everyone though! Some people got it.... some didnt.

when I called I spoke with someone and they said it was something new their trying out and only a handful of applicants got them

I don't think anyone that applied to the El Paso Campus has to do the video essay.

I applied to all campuses and I haven't got anything except on how to start registering for patho and intro classes

I received the same email about how to register, then I called and asked them about the video essay and the lady told me she had no idea about any video and that the El Paso campus was not doing anything like that . So maybe since you applied to all campuses that's why you don't have to do the video essay .

The video essay was brutal! i am pretty bad at speaking under pressure like that so it took me so many attempts before i was okay with the one i sent in!
