Texas Tech Traditional BSN 2013

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello Guys!!I just wanted to create a new thread for the 2013 Texas tech BSN program! I will be applying this December (El Paso) campus. Is anyone else?

I am so excited and hopefully in the near future I can meet you all!

I am so nervous....but I am sure most of you all are feeling the same.

Best of luck!!

hahahha and u were TOTAlly right to tell me tht! lol im in Houston still but i guess i have to start looking into that big move pretty soon! lol hows lubbock living? add me on facebook if u can! crystal okeke thnx again!

I live in Odessa and will be attending the Odessa campus, but we go to Lubbock frequently (Red Raider fans and all) since it's only 2 hours away! If you have never been to West Texas, prepare yourself for wide-open spaces, virtually no trees (unless they are planted in someones yard), and in Lubbock, get ready for the geese!! Lubbock is part of their migratory flight path and the skies are full of them during migration season! :-) Congrats!

I got into the Odessa campus and was looking into housing. If anyone needs a roommate or knows of inexpensive housing, let me know. It will help me out a lot because I'm already stressing when I saw how much the apartment go for. I went to Texas Tech University- Lubbock and housing is way cheaper.

Is anybody else on the wait list?

That would be the effect of the oilfield its crazy expensive out there

Whoaaa, ok I just reread my email and noticed that I actually got accepted to the ODESSA campus...now I'm wondering how because I only applied to Lubbock campus from my memory and I know absolutely nothing about the Odessa campus or what it looks like or anything! Maybe this is a mistake...I have to call them in the morning to see about this I mean do they just place yu anywhere they see fit or does it apply to which campus you specifically apply for? I'm so confused now... Now I hv to look into housing in Odessa n from what y'all are saying its even MORE expensive...idk

I got into Odessa too! Facebook me! Simi Jacob or my email is [email protected] :)

I would definitely call them, because you only get placed where you applied to. If you applied to more than one location, they decide which one you will be placed at! Odessa is SUPER expensive as far as renting goes b/c of the oilfield boom out here.

Vaneyls; I'm on the exact same page as you! I'm so lost when it comes to housing in Odessa :/

Ok this is my first time applying to and getting accepted into a nursing program and I am just curious if this $100 non refundable "placement fee" Texas tech requires us to pay after we accept their admission offer is a common thing? I mean I've been tryin to prolong paying it in case I hear back from utmb before the payments due date. Once I pay it and accept their admission offer,if I do opt to resign my spot at Texas tech then my $100 is gonna go down the drain. I'm curious to anyone tht has applied to other nursing school n been accepted do they require u to pay tht nonrefundable fee too?

Hi!!! I got accepted to Abilene as well! Are you doing the traditional BSN or bridge?

did they tell you to do a video essay?
